I think a draw away to Chelsea would be a very good result. They are the inform team in the league and considering our shaky away form last season against the top sides, it would be great. But seeing Cesc play against us in a blue shirt will be a sad sight to see :emoticon-0106-cryin

Definitely - it makes me so annoyed, especially as we should be benefitting from his skills! Grrr

Same here mate. Personally I strongly believe we should have brought him back. I would have sold a couple of players just to bring him back. Unfortunately the decision not to bring him back will (is), biting us back on the backside. He's played 6 games so far in the PL and he has 6 assists.

I would have loved to have seen Cesc back in an Arsenal shirt and I was advocating for Wenger to buy him back. I can understand why he didn't, we have plenty of players for his position, but the fact that he's now playing for a rival is really galling. The fact that it's Chelsea just makes it feel like your missus is shagging your best mate.

I said over the summer that turning down fabregas would be a big mistake. He was the most obvious signing for us to make and I'm sooo disappointed that he is playing for Chelsea now.

I think that letting him go to Chelsea was a big mistake and I'm not happy about seeing him play in blue against us. Bad move arsenal, bad move. I'm consciously avoiding watching. Chelsea replays knowing he is so heavily involved in there good start to the season.

Just to bring this thread to it's conclusion, the 4 league games have been played:

    City-draw
    Villa-win
    Spurs-draw
    Chelsea-loss

4 games, 1 win, 2 draws, and a loss, with us picking 5 points out of a possible 12, and seeing us move into 8th, behind United, Spurs, and West Ham, and moving 9 points behind Chelski.

If you want to make it 5 games including Leicester, it's been only 1 win out 5, :). We definitely have improved this season.

So, not the best position after these league games. We really could of done with beating spurs, I think that's the biggest disappointment from these games.

Anyway we aren't too far off most teams, with Chelsea being the exception, and we now have some very winnable fixtures so hopefully we can turn our fortunes round and get back into the mix of things.

We are flat track bullies so we should be winning our next games and then crowning ourselves as being great and the next best thing beside Barca in terms of entertaining football.

It's up to the team to prove otherwise, which they haven't so far, they have a good opportunity though when we come up against United.

Also where am I wrong exactly? We do usually beat the smaller teams, but then in the big games, we go missing, and lose. So far we couldn't beat City, or Chelsea, so where am I wrong? It's a fact, we are flat track bullies, and our record proves it. 0 wins in 15 league games against Chelsea-City-United, what more evidence do you want? I could bring up a whole load of other bad stats against the big sides.

My comment was clearly aimed at your nonsense about everyone proclaiming us the most entertaining side etc etc based on winning our next few games.

Why, it's true, OXO even wrote WE'RE BACK after we were beating Villa, so I'm not that way off point.

But in regards to the main point then, you have no disagreement that we are good at beating the smaller teams, but poor against the bigger ones, aka flat track bullies.

I'm pretty sure everyone can see we are strong against most teams and struggle in the really big games, mainly when playing away. I don't know that anyone has tried to disagree with that anywhere on this forum in the last couple of years...

And oxo having one excited comment after a win is hardly evidence that the board is going to erupt into joyous belief that we are the best thing since sliced bread if we wins few games lol

Firstly I think the term flat track bullies is another of those stupid cliches thrown around by idiots who don't know much about football.

And secondly no-one has disagreed that we are strong against worse teams and find it more difficult against the better teams. Talk about stating the obvious. Of course your not wrong that we have had difficulties in the big games over the last couple of years... I'm totally lost as to what your trying to achieve with your comment lol

Heck even I'm not that negative to say 'worse' teams, just said lesser teams, not even crap teams.
