That shot is actually taken at a Saskatchewan Roughriders CFL (Canadian Football League) game - they play in green, so the right colour for Ireland, with those funny shaped balls.
I knew you didn't sit behind my flag as I know exactly where I had it hanging in both grounds and there weren't any seats behind it at either. How do you know you walked past me in Tallaght? I had a play off final programme in Maynooth, not an autograph book. Managed to get the whole squad to sign it and sent it over to my cousin's teenage girl in Durham.
I wasn't stalking you or owt. I just recognised you from pictures on here. Recognised a few fellas. Nice one RE the programme
I'm not suggesting you're a stalker. I just knew you weren't sitting behind my flag. So, you recognise some people from here but nobody recognises you. Over 8,000 posts on a message board and nobody has met you and you haven't met anybody. Do you not think that's a bit strange?
I don't know why you're getting wound up mate. You just asked what was the last game I was at and I told you.
I'm not wound up. I'm very relaxed. My point is, you go to very few games in London, turn up at 2 pre-season games on your door step and you have over 8,000 posts to your name on this messageboard. I find that very strange.
Well here's a bunch of likely lads from the Charlton match last Nov 23rd - I can confirm that this was one of the best and most memorable days of my life, I met so many fantastic people - that could be you Swords in the crowd? please log in to view this image
More power to you. Others might find a guy with a season ticket to follow a team in another Country a bit strange. Each to their own. Anyway, I'm leaving this one cos its gone a bit silly. (Looking good Killy )
If only you knew the whole story Swords, that I was honoured to have explained to me, and also to have had the pleasure of meeting the family participants of this story - let me tell you, as with my family heritage, that it runs deep. If you love the team, like the rest of us, you should really come over for an occasional game, or perhaps participate in one of the Irish R's match get-togethers. I believe that you would really enjoy it once you had the opportunity to meet everyone. It doesn't have to be you in the corner? That's a great song Killy. It's one of those one's that I keep meaning to play on my guitar but the original was played on a mandolin, so spoken in the words of Harry.. ''Ya know it's difficult. There's no easy songs in this league. '' So................... I think it's time to end this thread here and let things slide. This site began as an anonymous platform for our fans to air their views. Inevitably due to being a smallish club with a limited fan base some of us became acquainted with each other whilst attending matches. That's all well and good as it has he who has the right to remain anonymous. We must respect our posters wishes, whichever camp they wish to remain in. I personally think that Sword's is yanking finglas's chain. We'll never know. So that's it. End of. You called his bluff finglas, Sword's can't or won't prove himself one way or the other. Let it ride mate. That's his prerogative. We all know that you bleed blue and white. No need to delve any further as far as I'm concerned. How many of our fans did you help get to Wembley? Case closed.
You did indeed mate. There is no denying your loyalty. There is no need for you to justify your credentials.
No disprespect Killy but how do you know I don't?! I do get over once a year. Used to be 3 or 4 times back in my freeer days along with away games. I stay in Hounslow and get the bus to and from the Bush. I'll be over before Xmas, that's for sure. Still, one way or another, I've managed to watch all seven games so far this season as most have been on TV and the other one or two were provided by Mr Rhino with the best quality streams I've had yet. Prove myself in what mate?
ha ha Did you really? I was so delirious I could have kissed a thousand people in that moment and wouldn't have realised. As long as you didn't use you're tongue, I don't mind!!
Nah.........just a quickie on the cheek mate. I'm a little deflated that you don't remember it tbh!! Do you remember me pole axing that huge bloke sat next to me at the final whistle? He must have been 25 stone!! Took 3 of us to get him back up. Mind you, he didn't stay for the trophy presentation, so I'm pretty sure he wasn't Rangers.
I remember the big lad alright. I thought he had taken a heart attack. Was either a neutral or a Derby fan in the wrong end. Defo not an R.
