We're only losing 2-0 away from home instead of 4-0?

He needs at least 10 games, but it's difficult to stand in his defence when he doesn't seem to care. Conceding a corner for us, is similar to other teams conceding a penalty. I'm seeing no real improvement in tactics, we still don't look a team.

His haul of 4 points from 7 games leaves him 5 whole games to overcome Mark Hughes' record of 4 from 12. And he is twice as good as Warnock who's 2 from 8 got him the sack.

If we keep this form up we will get more than 20 points this season!

I wonder if this guy, Dr Nick Neave, behavioural psychologist, is still around to do a quick photographic work up of our Harry:-

Bit of a role reversal between Sam & Harry.

Psychologist looks at the demise of Sam Allardyce

FROM slouching in his seat to a face crumpled by rage (from 2008).

Sam Allardyce’s demise can be charted by his body language, with the signs of pressure visible as early as two months into his reign.

The Chronicle spoke to behavioural psychologist Dr Nick Neave, who has analysed snaps of Big Sam.

They show him transform from a relaxed figure to a man close to buckling under the strain.

Our first picture shows Allardyce in July at the Magpies’ pre-season friendly against Celtic, where he is sat in his chair, phone in mouth.

And things started well for Big Sam after a victory over his former club Bolton Wanderers on the first day of the season, something reflected in his body language.

Our second picture shows him hugging ex-assistant Sammy Lee.

Dr Neave said: “This is a dominance gesture, putting his arm around a former colleague, saying ‘I’m on top of my game and nobody can take me down.’

“The further through the year you get, his body language changes.

“Comparing July to November, there’s a huge difference. Laid back in his chair, he is the picture of a man in relaxation. But if you compare that to November, there’s a difference.”

Another of our pictures shows Allardyce flinging an object into the ground in rage in November.

Dr Neave added: Looking at the November picture, he is a man who is very clearly agitated.

“There are furrows on his face and his teeth are exposed. It is like the Incredible Hulk tearing off his shirt.”

By December 24, the signs of pressure were manifesting themselves in glum looks from Allardyce, in particular one of our images, which shows him with his head down.

Dr Neave added: “When he has his hands is his pockets and is looking at the ground. It’s the little kid in the playground.”

After an intense month of speculation about his future, Allardyce looked the happiest he has been after the club’s FA Cup draw. But Dr Neave thinks the smiles and waves were a red-herring. He said: “I think the final picture after the Stoke game shows he knows it is all over.

“You have to wonder whether he knew something was up. It is not a happy smile, more a farewell grin.

“If someone had asked me is that his first game or his last, I would definitely have said his last. The smiling is in the mouth, not in the eyes.

“The other thing is his chewing rate. At the last game, he was chewing frantically and research we have done shows that the rate at which we chew denotes how stressed we feel.

“Compare Sam to Sir Alex Ferguson, who always chews his gum slowly, you can see the difference.”

Allardyce spoke of his departure from St James’s Park at his house yesterday and insisted he feels no bitterness.

Emerging from his 14-room £1.6m mansion on the outskirts of Durham City, Allardyce said: “I’m shell-shocked but, other than that, I’m not too bad.”

Asked whether he felt any bitterness towards the club, he said: “No, I don’t think so. Once people make a decision, there is nothing you can do about it, and there is no point being bitter and twisted about it. For me it’s disappointing, and you have to move on with your life.”

Chairman Chris Mort had publicly backed Allardyce, saying he found constant speculation about his future “tiresome” after the club’s defeat to Manchester City.

Big Sam had thanked Mort for this at the time and admitted he was shocked to have been dismissed yesterday. Probed on why he felt the decision had been taken, Allardyce said: “I don’t know to be honest, you can only ask Chris.”

The 54-year-old says he plans to stay in football, but will take a holiday before thinking about his next move. He said: “I’m looking to the future now and I’m going to take a break with my wife.

“I’ll come back and move on with my football.”

He added: “I think me and my wife will get away in the sunshine and come back and re-focus and stay in football.

“When that will come, who knows but we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Asked whether he has already had fresh offers of work through calls to his phone, he said: “It’s all been good friends and they have been very supportive.”

Speculation is still rife about who Big Sam’s replacement will be. For the second day running, Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp emerged as the bookies’ favourite, despite the south coast club saying they would not let him go and the man himself insisting he has had no dealings with Mike Ashley’s men.

Asked whether he had had any contact with Harry Redknapp, he said: “Only by text.”

Not me. Not today anyway. I have determined to give Harry 10 games and I'll stick with that assuming TF does too. However, realistically, we look doomed at the moment. I have this awful feeling we're going to try to buy our way out of trouble in January with even worse financial consequences. The 'victory' over Derby at Wembley feels a bit hollow tonight.

Hilarious! I hope you're on the comedy circuit. You could well be the next Micky Flanagan with insights like that.

I think the players we have are good enough, but the manager isn't.

The sooner he goes the better.

    January could be too late.

Look at it this way, he sold Simpson and didn't replace him and he would have sold Traore. He 'never saw' Remy going when everyone else knew it was a dot on the card. None of those key positions were replaced let alone strengthened. We're done for, simple as that, even Pulis wouldn't be able to pull this one off because we are weak in the positions where we can be exploited even by the weakest teams in this league...

    Nothing much positive about Harold
The only thing I have seen is that he got us to keep the ball a lot better but then he went to the sweet shop , his eyes got big again and he brought a out of date batch

And TF has to take responsibility for hiring his circus . It's not good enough

I will never forgive him for Taarabt and how he has spun that story

I think each of Harry's balls have an offshore account, not to mention a couple of dogs each and a mistress.
There friggin big enough seeing he's putting his hand out each week for a pay cheque!

Giving Arry 10-12 games is only justifiable if we think there's a genuine chance of improvement.

Has he actually stood up at a game since the play-off final (apart from pleasantries to opposition managers before and after a game and an amble to and from the dressing room)?

Quite right about Simpson and Remy - Harry is culpable. He had plenty of time to get a Plan B for Remy and should have assumed we would lose him, rather than hoping for the best. But I don't think we're "done for" if we get a decent, tactically adept, player-motivating manager in now. I still think there's plenty of raw talent in the team, it's just that there's a malaise among the players brought on by the fact that Harry is overawed by other Premier teams and appears indifferent, detached and dispassionate to ours. That's what I'd be telling TF if I was Amit Bhatia

Sont dislike him but getting rid of the 3/ aqt the back after bringing in new players is a sign of weakness

Stick with your beliefs.Id love to see us play that system with our players !
