    Mods on all boards merge threads when they are the same. It's not about showing authority it's about keeping the board moving.

    I only looked on this one because of the comments!

    All ive done is merge 2 threads that are EXACTLY the same. I dont understand why you're getting worked up about it. That's what the "merge" option is for...

    Mountain out of a molehill springs to mind. NTTDS could of refreshed his original thread and brought it back on view to page 1 but chose to create a clone of his original.Rather than have a duplicate thread Shiny used his merge tool, simple, end of.

    I don't have a problem with merging topics.... I was commenting on how it was put across.... as I said if there was/is a issue with what NTTDS is posting then the discussion should be done at a private level not in the public domain.

    Why would he discuss it in private when several members have made him aware of NTTDS spamming this board with pointless and duplicate threads, this is pissing off many members on here and if I am correct is a reason why NTTDS is banned from OTIB? Shiny has been a mod on here for a while now and has done a sterling job in getting more traffic in and moderating this board very fairly, a 'tool' he is not and does not deserve such abuse.! John seems to be a decent enough bloke and from the posts I have read of yours so do you, but you're barking up the wrong tree here, Shiny and Wiz are very popular posters on here as well as mods.

    Even if you consider it 'showing his authority' that 'authority' was given to him by the original members of this board who appreciate the time and effort he puts in.!

    Oh so now we are not allowed a different opinion too others... obviously shiny has his mates who he is trying too impress by showing his authority.....

    I sincerely apologise for not agreeing with everyone and thinking a MOD is wrong.... clearly this place is not as it seems and is very clicky with people sticking up with their mates regardless.

    You have obviously hooked up recently and now feel the need fight his corner.! this isn't about a difference of opinion its about how this board should be ran, i happen to like the way it was.! if you don't go start another somewhere else.!

    Mmmmmm gota say guys this is a bit dissapointing,personaly thinks the three mods should talk in private regards issues,should be dealt with a bit more tactfully.
    I have to agree with Tetbury regards his comment,we need to keep this forum a nice place to view and comment,do we really want to go like OTIB.
    I for one moved of off there for that reason.

    Christ sake, the man was reacting to a majority expression, doing the job of a MOD, NTTDS is a quality bloke and I like to read his stuff, let him condense it a bit, we are different from OTIB purely from the fact you are all expressing individual opinions and they are being heard.

    Do me a favour, I'm not a member of OTIB and never have been for obvious reasons but by god they are popular, we do things the not606 way, no mates, no cliques, just work by majority decision of our members and MODS should be ruled by them, I am, shiny is and NTTDS is, we must all work together and not splinter.

    Decisions are made, order is kept but there must be room for individuality on both sides of a debate and room for majority opinion, don't lets fall out about debate..

    Im not trying to impress anyone. NTTDS has been told several times about the threads he makes and how he needs to calm down a bit with them. Notice how when he comments on this thread he's not acknowledged anything thats been said? Which is something that really annoys me, he makes loads of random threads that have nothing to do with football and he never comments on them or anyone elses for that matter.

    Im sorry if you think i was being "harsh" with my comment but i was just telling him that hes made 2 threads exactly the same and as a MOD he should know what he's doing. Members are becoming annoyed with him, if the majority are unhappy then actions need to be taken, sorry you dont agree but i did what the majority of the members wanted.
