Both shocked at the players commitment. Neville basically stated he can't believe we haven't learnt anything from last time. Souness stated no wonder Harry does not get out of his chair with the players performance and they need to look at the lack of commitment for their manager.
How about looking at the manager's lack of commitment & the fact that he was here previously & now. Thank you, to both of them for not glossing over, but it is time for the media to start to realise that their favourite manager carries a lot of the responsibility for our lack of perfromance!
Clearly there is something not right at the club, the players are just not putting any effort in. From the first minute West Ham were quicker to every 50/50 ball and we never pressured them in any area of the pitch. Our midfield was, frankly, anonymous. West Ham won't get an easier three points this season...
Anyone else think that they were refraining from directly criticizing HR because they work with his son? It's surely Redknapp's job to motivate the players?
You have to agree with what they said though. Although they should have spoken about the complete lack of tactical nouse from the training staff too. Watch the replays and hear what they say - no passion, no fight, no idea.
David McIntyre has just tweeted 'You don't join QPR to work hard. It's as simple as that'... Spot on...
This. Souness and Neville got everything spot on, apart from the fact that they seem to be blaming the players exclusively. Surely, the Manager takes responsibility for not being able to motivate them? He's lost them by virtue of his complete and utter lack of interest.
Exactly. He takes such a relaxed, objective view, he's more like a commentator. That feeds through to the players
Northlondon, I was watching the game in the pub and couldn't hear the analysis. Is there any chance there's a link to a video of what they said?
Nothing has changed. The players are responsible for their own performance, management is accountable for the whole thing.
Souness lives near Arry and they are regular diners together!!! I was pleased they slated the players commitment (diabolical Neville said) but taking the blame away from Arry 100% was equally DIABOLICAL!!!........................
have always been a fan of Harry, but even I now realise it is time for him and his clan to go. I've always stubbornly defended his lack of emotion on the bench, as that's just how he is, but it must transfer to the players. oh to see him out in the tech area barking out orders....but it will never happen. Come on Tone, see the light and make the change.
We don't need overpaid pundits to tell us what we can see with our own eyes, Harry has lost it, nothing more, nothing less...
Sorry swords not sure about a link but both were fuming at our players commitment. Neville said he thought we would have learnt from last time in the premiership, and thought we would be okay this season, but we are shockingly bad and a poor West Ham team didn't have to do much to beat us. Souness said the players should watch the game back and look at there lack of commitment for the manager. He said no wonder Harry didn't get up off his seat he must have been totally upset by his players performances. They also showed two of our midfilders strolling back slowly while West Ham attacked. They even said our players should look at Chelsea players and how they fight for the ball. I agree with most of this but the players look lost in what they are suppose to be doing and I blame management totally for that.
