At the end of the day, it was a **** game that we needed to win. Job done and sitting in 8th after a good few games.
Now lets hope Arsenal put all their efforts into the Anderlecht game taking their focus off out game so we can steal all three points from the Emirates, followed by taking another 3 from Anfield and their average (so far) Liverpool side.
Anyone think from the highlights that Leicester are playing an attractive brand of football compared to us? Crosses seem to be our bread and butter tactic while they seemed to have the ability to cut through the middle.
They have been playing dogshit defences such as Burnley and Man Utd recently. Leicester lost 2-0 to Palace last week, remember.
Positive comments from all the panel members tonight.....whether you respect them or not (Lineker etc), this is progress for us as it's an influential & globally viewed program. Take note A.A.
Robertson in team of the week, but at right back - Is it not linked to actual position? Shame Chester left out, as I think his reintroduction into a back three made Davies and Dawson better.
I was laughing at the end when we had four centre backs on. They kept taking turns to run out into midfield and take the ball, if they missed it, another centre back ran out to take it. It was comedy seeing how we'd never play such tactics yet it worked. Dawson ran out and the other three dropped off, he missed it then came Bruce to make the clearance. Moments later Chester ran out and missed the ball so Dawson came charging out to win a header.
What a load of crap from Colin as usual - as for Dawson's "elbow" that was soon laughed out of the MOTD studio Anyway we shouldn't be surprised because that's how Colin has always operated - take the spotlight away from how own teams failings by inventing some "controversial incident" that the ref missed. When has he ever seen any player sent off for less than Dawson's challenge on FC?
Yeah,i'd forgotten about that, and surprised actually. Whilst it was nice to hear, this is only our second season, after narrowly escaping relegation. Unless he was taking our previous stint into consideration. It was nice to hear though.
As long as they're still saying it in three weeks' time too, when chances are we'll still be on 9 points.
Try having a little acca on the weekends football coupons, every week for the next two years. Do maybe six results, not the scores, just the winners or losers. Choose only the certainties, like say Man city at home to Burnley ect. I can guarantee, you will collect your winnings maybe three times in those two years. That's football, it really is very unpredictable.
