Similar for me. not family visiting though, the mrs (nm) is going back to work so I'll have the three boys to contend with.

Can't spend as much time on here whilst at work as last time either. Last time, I was off ill for two of the days, the person that sits next to me was off on the other.

 

Potentially if vigilante strikes same time as assassins!

Game will still potentially last longer than other 2 due to having two mafia teams. Probably be fewer people alive when game ends.

 

So this tinecround the game with 14 is 6 mafia, 8 town

Now I presume win conditions is one mafia team needs to get to a position there there are more of them than there are town

In theory worst case for town is that mafia have 4 members and so the town need to lose 5 members


If someone is mafia it is 3 v 11. So a 3/11 change one mafia takes out another mafia for the town

I feel as though day one is crucial here if the town and vigilante miss the mafias both times that'll be a mafia winning position as starting day 2....

We'll assume both mafia convert... Remembering yes they could convert each other

The numbers would be 4/4/4!!!

So...... I dunno perhaps milk can comment as this is prob worst case

But I wanted to post it now so I can post in game and point out that targeting someone better start out without agenda on the towns side and our final vote need to at least have a real reason behind it not something like oh gerrez said x in his first post

I'd like the vote to be a 3 way split cos the town then has some hope of one of those being on a mafia team

 

Worst case scenario (for town) would be a lot less likely due to increase # of scum- with numbers fairly even odds of worst case scenario (for town happening is

Lynch(8/14) * Vig getting it wrong (6/12) * Mafia converting Town (5/9) * KGB Converting Town (5/8) = 10% - even then it wouldn't be game over it would be 4:4:4 (and Mafia and KGB would be more focused on removing each other as threats and you'd hope Vigilante wouldn't waste a kill first night without having anything to go on)



Still... point taken. So- to tweak things:

No conversions until team drops below 3 (have to lose someone before you can convert). I'm also going to forbid Vigilante from a kill on night one (to prevent Mafia or KGB being able to be eliminated night one - Lynch, Assassination from rival group, Vigilante kill).

That makes worst case scenario Night 1:
Lynch(8/14) * Mafia Kill (6/10) * KGB Kill (5/9) = 19% (more likely to happen... however ratio would be.
3:3:5

Still pretty bad for town - but they're still the largest group in this scenario and there would be an 81% chance it could be 2:3:6 or better for them.



I will also point out that in a multi-team mafia game the biggest threat to the two mafia teams is each other- so they will be looking to take out the opposing team usually more than just the town.



I'll play around in some spreadsheets for a little bit during half time to see what I can balance out... to make no team too strong in first few days!!

Milk, can you make it clear if everyone will get a PM with their role (even if they just a regular towny) or if it's only people with special roles that get a pm

IMO everyone should be PM'd as a test of who has a full inbox anyway since they might later need PMs if townie then Freemason

 

Problem is, Milk can only send a limited number of PM's in a set time period. It will probably take him an hour to send fifteen PMs

(7 GMT/ 8 BST) that's 8PM for most people on here.

I will try sending everyone an initial pm... but it will be a slow and laborious process. Due to only 2 pms every 5 mins

 

Since BRB is involved in this game, I've asked him if he is able to increase your pm limit

NOTE: I know I made a mistake on at least one PM (and sent a correction) but to avoid confusion. Leader of the Mafia team is called "Godfather"; leader of the KGB team is called "Lead Spy" - they are equal roles in all ways EXCEPT their name. If I referred to a Mafia "Lead Spy" or a KGB "Godfather" in any posts it is my mistake.
