Great result, and both strikers scoring, it could not be better, the team is beggining to gel in time for a run of fixtures that would test any team, but with this will to win attitude and the playing options, we will see it through, I am sure of it. Catts, Whicks and Fletch were immense, Haway the Lads.

Really like what im seeing between the Buckley/Jones partnership. Thought they gave the left back a nightmare.
Massive 3 points. Great performance as a unit with a few good individual displays. Fletcher motm closely followed by Wickham and Van Aanholt. Mannone 7 - No chance with the goal but made some good saves Jones 6 Oshea 6 Vergini 7 - Class act today Van Aanholt 8 - Superb, countless interceptions and tackles. Cattermole 6 - Quieter game for Catts and partly at fault for there goal. Larsson 6 - Hussled and harried without doing anything special Gomez 6 - would be 5 if not for assist. To slow and ponderous on the ball Buckley 6 - Almost scored a fluke, flattered to deceive. Wickham 8 - Took his goal fantastically to get us going and did great for the third Fletcher 9 - Bloody hell, where did that come from? Great first, great flicks and touches and in the right place for the third. Looked confidant for the first time in a long time.
Pretty ****ing happy camper me like. I thought everyone was decent, Fletch looked hungry and his movement was like when we signed him, Catts was immaculate. Wickham was a right bastard for them I thought, his run for the 3rd was what I wanna see him doing, people bouncing off him, bullying them. Vergini was excellent again at CB, we might struggle to keep the lad. PVA, I have to say he's growing just like Alonso did, he looks better every game, he's incredibly comfortable on the ball, he's only gonna become better and better. He stood out a mile for me today, although the lads all went for Wickham, I just thought Paddy was exceptional, becoming a favourite of mine already. A left back, we own, who isn't hapless. ****ing love it. The difference it makes, looks a solid start now don't it.
Very happy. Wasn't the most the most technical display. I'm glad we adapted for stoke, any team who tries to play their own game against stoke ultimately gets dragged into Stoke's hands. Stoke are a back to basics kind of team so I'm glad we went out there with a back to basics game plan.
