I dont see him selling anytime soon. Not when other PL clubs are available and have been for longer. TWT as always.
I know you think you're being witty and clever, but everyone reading this thread will be laughing and/or pitying you.
So it's more of an extended Gerald Ratner business plan. I'd have expected a good businessman to have made the best of opportunities like product, shirt and merchandising sales in the local area, or exploiting the market created in Egypt. Perhaps he's cunning, and is leaving so many clear opportunities bobbling as ground bait for investors, or maybe his former business plan that worked for selling generators to third world Governments doesn't transport well to the football industry.
Football Focus sounded like a final appraisal of Assem Allem's ownership to me. It was clear they expect him to sell and be gone shortly.
But Allam admits that he can't make Hull City financially stable in the Premier League. He can't be that great at business.
There's no denying he's done very well with his engineering business. The PL is a different animal where a club is only part of the greater brand. What sells the PL to worldwide TV audiences is not names like Hull City, Tigers or Red Bull Melton.. but the image, the players, the razzamatazz, the feelgood factor, the attacking football and the accessibility of the league.. It's not a "go to the stadium" product But of course the Asian couch potatoes want to see the stadiums full so you as a club squeeze the real fans as far as you can for their loyalty Growth cannot continue forever despite reports of inflatory bidding wars between the TV companies.. You have to be stable since one day the bubble will burst. Allam is at least honest on this point, I think he wanted to be a pioneer with the name change effort but he's been stopped. His rationale may be 'wonky' and unfounded but he wanted to try it.. Unfortunately solidarity with HCC would serve both parties much better, alas we may never find out how..
If no buyer comes " I will give it away " Man of my word i am, read my CV, did i ever go back on anything i said, etc etc etc
This video was pretty pointless. There's two people discussing a topic without having all the necessary information. They don't know about the HCC spat with Allams, they never seem to mention the fact that he has yet to propose a business plan. They didn't necessarily agree with it anyways but my point is they're discussing things based on only a few quotes and clips and without all the information. If they had all of the info they probably would have dismissed it immediately.
Join the club of Remploy rejects. The bellend that is Tickler made me a member a few weeks ago. The Remploy response was to me calling him an idiot. You have to remember Ben that he has admitted by his own post to being a "wealthy idiot." That was his reply to OLM calling him an idiot. Now we all know he is an idiot, as we can see by the inane drivel he posts. What we don't know is if he is wealthy. Only he can prove that, and we know he isn't going to do that on an internet forum. So I will deduce from that he isn't and as usual is talking utter bollocks.
3 Interesting quotes I noticed while flicking through the BBCs match thingy to see what happened in the other games. Didn't see one taking the piss either. Evidence of BBC bias against Hull?
'Given Hull's team colours, Tigers is a rather obvious name' - I think you've found yourself a genius.
