I'm not sure how true this is but I have just heard on the radio that Ben Arfa and Ramirez will be looking to make their first start today? have I missed something? I haven't watched Brucies interview from yesterday just yet, so was anything said by bruce?
I just dont see how they can both fit in to be honest. Jelavic and Hernandez are certain starters for me every single time. I dont think we shoulda bought them both.
Agreed it's a struggle to find a position for the two of them. But I'd rather have the options they both give. One or two injuries and you could fit them both in. It's comes down to if Brucie can keep them both happy and involved enough.
It would be nice to see Ramirez get more time. Huddlestone and Livermore seem to play whatever their form is.
Ramirez looked classy today and was very efficient. Knew when he needed to keep the ball and beat a man and when to release it.
The most difficult aspect of any manager's job. I think Bruce considers this aspect of management in his recruiting strategy more than most managers. He seems to lean towards signing players he thinks have lower level egos, but have skill, and would be willing to be genuine "team before personal glory"-type players. The bigger the squad the more difficult this becomes naturally, but I'm sure he'll keep encouraging them all that their time will come. He'll need to be tough at times, but that'll weed out anyone who'll rock the boat. Similar style to Mourinho imo.
I'm thankful all the above named players are at the club.. As TigersCanada highlighted on EGO' I agree, & the qualities of Ramirez & Ben Arfa, as footballers a will be aware , that formations & fitness levels & Game tactics, are an aspect of their week to week preparations & will seek to fit in where & when possible. These players are pure skill & NO ego.
