    Kick off: Sunday 5th October 2014 14:05pm
    Venue: Stamford Bridge

Our recent form against Arsenal has been impressive, and Wengers record against Jose is pretty appalling so form and history suggest a home win is on the cards.
However, football is a funny old game (which is why we love it) and Arsenal will be in a confident mood coming off the back of their 4-1 CL victory over Turkish team Galatasaraay.

Generally speaking we do better against the teams that come at us (See Everton and Swansea this season) and less well against teams who park the bus and make it hard for our creative players to flourish (See Leicester this season, easily our hardest game to date), another reason why the odds would favour us.
Last season we won this fixture 6-0, and while a repeat may be a little unrealistic, I am going to go for a confident Chelsea win.

    My prediction

    Chelsea 4-1 Arsenal
Costa x 2, Schurrle, Fabregas Welbeck

Also of note is this will be Fabregas first game for us against his old club, wonder what kind of reception he will get from the away fans.

I expect Fabregas to be royally booed by the class less bunch.

Fancy a tight win, maybe 2-1. Costa, Terry, Sanchez.

Cant see why they would boo him, if it wasn't for their ****** manager, he would be running out in red and white playing against us.
He wanted to come back to London and Wenger didn't want him, what was he supposed to do, retire out of loyalty? <laugh>

I know what you mean though, there are bound to be a portion of idiotic fans who cannot grasp that.

I fancy us for a win. Somehow or other we tend to save our best for the better teams. We need to convert out chances better, so I go for 2-1.

Firstly I think Fabregas will get a great reception from Arsenal fans.

Secondly I think we need to do a Maureen and park the bus 19th Century style against you lot and try and hit you on the break.

Sanchez, Oxo and Welbeck will tear Terry and Cahill a new arsehole if they are given any space in behind your defence.

I picked Wellbeck to be the surprise forward earlier this season and expect a heap of problems from him . Don't know why, but I think Remy will start for us with Costa on the bench. Also think we might see Cech this week. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Jose also brought in young Zouma at half time to add some speed in defence. Maybe I'm dreaming, but it's time Jose did one of his selection "specials" and bamboozled Arsenal. Maybe this has bamboozled everyone !!
Whatever, this is a game we must win for 2 reasons. To show we can after an away CL game, and to put Arsenal in their place and keep the gap we have at the top.
I am going for 2-0 Chelsea. Ivan or Terry and Schurrle. There's confidence for you.

CP, I thought I was dreaming after reading the first few lines LOL.

Jose will bamboozle the goons and keep Arsene under his spell. We will put the goons in their rightful place.

You always bottle it and park the bus in big games. <laugh>

Seriously though, You start so slowly in big games, not be terrified of playing your normal game.

You need to start coming out of the blocks quickly in big games and have confidence in your own ability.

I don't know whether Arsene can do this, he seems stuck in a psychological rut... you even bottled it v Hull FFS

    How is HIAG btw?

I think the problem is that you simply don't have the players to park the bus. The Defence is ok but not great and you don't have the quality in front of them either to help them. A few injuries to contend with too.

Just can't see anything other than a Chelsea win.

Thought Ivanovic was injured? Either way, expect a comfortable afternoon for your lot. 3-0 Chelsea.

I expect a comfortable game, 2, maybe 3-0. Arsenal haven't shown much this season, and I doubt Stamford Bridge against Jose would be the place for them to start hitting form.

I'm hoping we go out and give them a battering to put down a marker. That's never going to happen against a City who are equally as powerful and have quality all over like us, however Arsenal are a team you can physically roll over on the right day. They have a poor record in these big games and if we fly out the blocks we could do some real damage. Despite their players talking it up, this is a fixture they probably don't want.

I think Costa is going to love playing against the Arsenal CBs. Oscar will probably have a field day against Flamini, Arteta or whoever else they are forced to put in the midfield. Think we will just overrun them like we did the last time, 4-0 Chelsea (Costa x3, Oscar)

Have you seen Chelsea play this season yet?
If anything we aint parking the bus enough, scoring a truckload, but now conceding a few at the back too.
