So its a bank holiday weekend here (happy birthday Lizzie-again) and I have the friday off to make it worthwhile. Its 22 degrees at 9:34am and mercury is starting to rise....gonna be a hot one and no doubt I'll be in need of sone refreshment of the liquid variety. Pimms is top of the list followed by Bacardi then its alphabetical order.. So here's to all this weekend in the build up to spanking the Hammers.... Have a great weekend all and lets enjoy this and get behind the boys. Would love to be at this game but sadly not....although the return may be a diffrent case....? Pool for me and the boys right now 9Rangers towels of course) then some fun... Have a great time lads (and beth) and see you when we get the 3 points.....WE CAN DO THIS LADS!! KEEP THE FAITH ??!
we had queens birthday in june two weeks off for me just about to take the kiddies bowling smash the hammers Monday morning
You lucky buggers down under! And our weather is turning lousy as winter approaches, a wet and windy weekend forecast...
Excited....first away match in about 30 years. So looking forward to this....we can do it.....sense the team is getting stronger. Come on u Rrrrs
Why don't we get any time off for the Queen's birthday? Nearest we get here is Brian May day bank holiday.
people didn't believe there was no public holiday for qbd in the uk as for todays bowling I smashed 2 10 year olds with my last two shots wont mention the first game
OK, I know this is weird but I actually had a dream about this game last night. I was away at a conference with a mate and we were 3:2 down. As the conference ended, we equalised for 3 all and I was asking for a lift home pronto because I 'knew' were going to go on and win! If anyone has a punt on 4:3 Rangers then don't blame me!!
As Soops has said the onset of Winter today, a cool south westerly blowing all the leaves of the trees and into our garden, the leaf hoover had it's first outing last weekend and no doubt will be in regular use for the next month or so. Still we have had a decent summer stretching right to the end of September, driest & warmest September for many years, ah well only 80 odd days to the shortest day.......
I had a dream a couple of weeks ago in which people kept asking me how Matt Kuchar was, as if he was my best mate. The following day, I thought I'd better back him to win the next PGA tournament, but there wasn't one that weekend because of the following week's Ryder Cup. So I backed him to be top Ryder Cup point scorer. Betting on dreams doesn't work.
cheers tramore been on holiday all week not seen any news or papers its been great other than QPR no bad news
Kiwi ................ gotta love the Ryder Cup ................ great result, great competition. Queens, just back from Sydney to see the daughter, son-in-law and grandson ............. all good but great to be home. Woke up to a great sunny day here on the Gold Coast. Washed the two cars and detailed them ............ bought the 'Holy Water' for tonight. ( the Bourbon was good) Allow me to dream ( ok, even more than usual ) .............. we'll beat the Hammers 2-1, make no mistake. And then I woke up! Aussie
Aussie please don't rub it in, we've just been issued with a weather warning here of upto 40mm of rain during next 12 hours or so.......summer is just a distant memory.....
What's the chances of us getting a day off for the birthday of some lady that lives 12,000 miles away???
You do get a very sensible holiday at the end of October though Finglas - wish we had that too. It's not right that the next public holiday in England after the August Summer one is Christmas day.
