Probably just a coincidence that there's been a spike in Vettel to Ferrari rumours. But if they sacked him immediately when he was already in Suzuka he must have done something pretty bad. Refusing to share data?
meanwhile at caterham they are working to fix Kamui's car with the materials they have left.... please log in to view this image The boys will have to go hungry this weekend
This track has 3 very different sectors so its good to show the difference in the cars from this year to last, S1 2013: 33.452s 2014: 34.229s (-0.777s / 2.27%) S2 2013: 42.062s 2014: 42.580s (-0.518s / 1.22%) S3 2013: 18.213s 2014: 18.155s (+0.098s / 0.54%)
I was thinking that considering the tricky demands this track places on a car, the comparative times aren't too bad - but then I remembered that after the Mercs everyone else was 1+ seconds slower!
Well allegedly other teams fed the Caterham staff at Singapore, so this might explain where the food went.
I have heard (total hearsay btw, could be rubbish, but we'll see), that he (Handkammer) has signed a pre-contract with McLaren. Did anybody watching fp see "grape-gate"? Some fan handed Alonso a huge bunch of grapes and he went around both sides of the garage handing them out to the mechanics, and clear as day on camera when he got to Mattiaci, refused to even acknowledge him, let alone offer him a grape. Petty, petty stuff
It was quite easily one of the most childish things i've ever seen in F1, It was nursery school stuff, it was borderline brilliantly petty
Red Bull miles off the pace, maybe they are running more downforce in anticipation of the rain tomorrow.
