As it seems quiet on here thought I'd ask a question about food - Curry in particular what's the best you've eaten? I prefer nowadays to cook & create my own curry from grinding the spices and making the sauce from scratch, haven't eaten in a Asian Restaurant in donkey's years plus I'm not keen on the ready made sauces from jars. My favourite meat is to cook is lamb tend to go for medium/ mild flavours (favourite being pasanda)- hardly ever make real hot/spicy, my missus tends make the nann (Peshwari) as I'm useless at making them. Incidently the best I've eaten was in a Indian type of cafe in London in the (1980's )near Liverpool street station if I recall- it was basic place with no frills had formica tables the food served in bowls and you were given a spoon- but the curries was ****ing superb especially after a couple of pints. Out of curiosity which Asian restaurant is the best in this area ?
can i just say that the wench has walked out on me again as ours is en-route the f**ing mental bitch, we need councilling! i feel like kicking her in the minge
Gotta love Peshwari naan, big up your homegirl. I love a good spicy curry, I'm back on strict clean eating though so I'm not getting into this or I'll end up crying myself to sleep.
sorry to see that mate that's just **** mate - counselling tend to be expensive and generally don't solve **** all - would suggest get a baby sitter meet in a neutral place and just talk to her
My wife grew up on farm in the middle of nowhere in Eastern Europe - everything was then food wise-and still as far as she's concerned made from scratch - she's the best cook I've met and probably the reason why I'm still happily been married after 20 odd years
My mrs made dinner once. It was awful. She's better at other things though, like leaving the back door wide open at bed time or putting the heating on full and going out shopping for 8 hours. We're pretty even then me and you when you way up all the pro's and con's.
I agree with that sentiment - remember many years ago regularly going out on the piss with my mates - then of to the Indian to see who could eat the hottest dish - phal I can eye wateringly recall was the one that came out as hotter than as it went in
Isn't that the hottest you can buy in a restaurant? **** that **** like. I've got a sensitive pallet, it would ruin it more than my smokes ever will.
I believe phal is the hottest curry- I was told at the time I once ordered it (and tried and failed to eat it ) that it originates from the UK and most that Asians wouldn't touch it with a bargepole
I had a taste of my mates once, when he ordered it because he had a cold. It had absolutely no taste, it was just like sticking your tongue in a 4-bar fire. The Thai's do curries that are stupidly hot but taste nice as well called jungle curry, **** hot...literally. The aftermath toilet experience was like giving birth to a barbed wire baby.
We were in Sicily for 2 months, last summer, and spent some time staying in a farm cottage after I did a deal with the owner. There was a field of donkeys complete with adorable little foals! Mrs Smug was delighted and would buy apples from the market to feed them. I knew exactly why they were there but I managed to convince her that it was a donkey sanctuary. Then one night the farmer invited us to eat with his family ....... I'm not kidding mate, we walked in and it was stew
Apparently it's on the menu in parts of Newcastle ........ I knew this would happen once they got a taste for it
