Come on guys lets not get too negative on here. No one has been sold yet and it looks like we will be signing Gervinho and Alvarez, we are not 'unraveling' by any stretch of the imagination. Be unhappy if nothing has happened in a months time not now.

Todays tabloids make even more depressing reading!

This year Wenger needs to bring in World Class additions. The fans are disgruntled - another Season like last and we will all be calling for the Frenchman's head.

In order to improve what we have already the players brought in have to be:

    1. Top Quality
    2. Experienced

Mata, Benzema, Higuaine, Vidal, Hazard, Subotic - These are good rumours, I'm glad to hear our club linked with real quality.

However - Samba, Nzogbia, Parker, Odemwingie, (Gervinho - maybe) - are not going to improve our squad IMO.

If Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy go and all we bring in is Samba, Gervinho & Jenkinson then we will fall probably out of the top four. We certainly wont challenge.

Without anyone leaving we need 2-3 TOP Quality signings.
If Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy go we will need 5-6 and lets be honest that is'nt going to happen.

clichy is going. apparently a done deal for 7million.

and they want nasri, but this is ok as they will give stupid amounts more just to get him away from united. Wenger will be counting the cash but doing bugger all with it, Buying Jenkinson isnt enough

    Its not OK at all.

Nasri is 23 years old, he scored 15 goals last Season and at times looked a World beater. My bet is that he'll be even better this term.

Also Clichy for £7 Million is an absolute bargain. A 24 year old International left back with 5-6 years Champions league experience.

So say we let Fabregas go and we let Nasri go.

How much would it cost to replace them?..40-50 million? and that would be just to get us roughly back to where we were last season which was fankly still not good enough.

If Fabregas, Clichy and Nasri go we need to bring in 5 World Class players if we want to win the league. - DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT'S LIKELY?.

Our season seems to be falling apart already.

Bit concerned to hear Gervinho misses a lot. I know all strikers miss more than they score, but Arsenal's goal tally for the amount of chances they make has been poor for a long time.

Gervinho sounds like a natural replacement for Bendtner, then?

I think if we sell one of Fabregas and Nasri we will not sell the other. But yeah you make a good point about it being unlikely that we will buy 5 top players.

The Guardian is reporting an interview by Gervinho in France Football magazine where he is saying "there are just a few details to sort out" and he will be signing for Arsenal

Exactly, the guy is a ****ing lunatic - constantly bickering.

So apparently I'm talking Rubbish to doubt a player that has a woeful goalscoring records even in Europe's weakest leagues. Seems reasonable to me.

While according to Jayram Arsene Wenger is "a little boy lost"?? Seriously?
Wenger may be infuriating at times but lets not forget this is the same guy that built the 2003-2004 squad.

Anyone who posts that aggressively is bound to be a little insecure prick.

Erm we've been linked with everyone and signed one player i'v never heard of for 20 mill. It's not all bad. But still you would hope to sign more. That's your problem with Wenger though.

I've been saying for a while we should ask for David Villa + £20 million, but we could settle for a little less cash.

Its a big name signing plus cash to strengthen other areas.

Jayram - people are entitled to be a little wary of Gervinho - IMO his not the sort of player we should be signing - and i think that opinion is shared by 60% of arsenal fans.

It has nothing to do with the league his coming from or anything like that its just the fact its, well, erm, ITS GERVINHO??? He has hardly set the world alight and i know that he deserves a chance but the problem is that we have been buying these types of player for tooooooo long now hoping that they WILL come good - Arsenal fans are tired of waiting for a player to come good - this waiting has caused us to go 6 years without winning something and arguably our best 3 players wanting to leave the club in order to win something!

Wenger should be buying proven winners - players that are use to winning every game or winning leagues and cups EVERY year or players who know the premiership - players who are the cream of the crop of european football - NOT a player who has had minor success at a small club in a crpa league!
