Ghaly was such a fool doing what he did, he was actually one of my favourite players at the time as I'm a fan of guys who work hard and really stick a shift in, we he did, and about two weeks before Ghaly threw that tantrum against Blackburn, Spurs had a shirt sale in the Megastore and Ghaly's name was on one of them going for about £20, I was going to buy it but for some reason decided against it... Must of had a 6th sense!

If he'd had made a public apology maybe in front of the crowd instead of a flimsy article on the OS then I think he'd have been forgiven. In some senses I was gutted because as I mentioned, he was a favourite of mine at the time.

Thanks for the link, HBIC. I love how you can never get any real information on injuries, and the only way you know it’s serious is the weeks going by and the player not playing. It seems like every serious injury we’ve had the first report claimed he’d be back in a week or two.

I’d play Dembele and Kane over Lennon and Paulinho, since the first two look like they might deserve a first team place, and the last two have looked poor in the second team. Try Dembele as CAM or on the right, where he’s looked good, considering Stambouli and Bentaleb should play as well. Or, since we’ve had two new set ups the last two times out, why not try a 4-3-3 with Stambouli, Bentaleb and Dembele in the middle and Kane, Soldado and Townsend up front?

It was against wigan in the fa cup I think...was at the match...people were going nuts...
Like I said before him throwing the shirt on the floor was taken as an insult to the club...if he'd waited til he got to the bench it would have blown over like it did with keane. Shame for him and us

  4. Well, I'm predicting an easy win for us, tonight.

I'm off out, soon, to stock up with copious amounts of cider - only the good stuff, of course - and I'll settle in for an entertaining night of Spurs domination, and a hat-full of goals.

WTF is Vorm actually going to get a start ??
With Hugo in good form I feel we are tempting fate in the cup games.

He did start against Forest, and I'll presume he'll get a game against Asteras.

If Pochettino thinks tonight is must-win, then starting with Hugo is understandable.
Though seeing how Besiktas did against the Goons, then some of the starting XI are questionable.

Dembele and Lennon must be pissed off. Can't even get a start for the second XI, basically.
I assume that we're still using the 4-2-3-1, with Kane taking Lennon's place on the left.

Please let's never see Lennon on the left ever again.

(This a repeat post from 8 years ago, 5 years ago, 2 years ago and a fortnight ago).

"Please let's never see Lennon on the left ever again."

This particular dogmatic trait is the real concern I have with Pochettino.

Weird thing is that it seems EVERY Spurs manager has tried it at points and all have rightly come to the conclusion it doesn't work.

Is Townsend on the ****ing left? Lennon would've had a chance to start in his favoured position and he's on the bench. <doh>

Chiriches pissing about, again. Really off form.

This all seems rather frantic, doesn't it? Lots of quick closing down, but no composure when we get the ball.
