More likely the injury has caused loss of form and its now got to the point where a fit Harper is better than an injured McGregor
20-6=14 (Teams outside the top 6). 6*6=36 (Most times a top 6 team can have played one of those other 14 teams). 8*2=16 (Amounts of times top 6 have met each other so far). 36-16=20 (Most times a top 6 team can have played one of those other 14 teams taking the top 6 playing each other out of the equation). 20/14=1.42 (Average amount of times a top 6 can have played any of those 14 teams). Hull City have played Man City already. If some teams have played the top 6 twice already then using mathmatics it's pretty obvious others cannot have played them at all. Hull City however have (Manchester City, the champions no less). Like I said talking bollocks.
If anyone from outside of the top six can beat anyone, why is it bollocks to say we will not be in a relegation battle? By my reckoning that means that there are 14 clubs that have a chance of going down. Also, could you expand on your definition of 'top six'. Do you mean the current top six, the bookies' favourites, the top six at the end of last season, those that you think are the best six teams? If you are going to be the arbiter of bollockness then you need to make sure your own house is in order. Ta
I'm not sure, Ben Arfa is the better footballer so if there's a place for him then he'll start instead. I always thought Ramirez was a winger (or at least that's where I've seen him play for Uruguay) so I don't see how he'd fit into our 3-5-2. We've only lost to a high flying Villa and the League champions, what the **** is everybody getting in such a flap for? Oh boo hoo, we drew. We still picked up points in those games against Stoke, Newcastle and West Ham, it wasn't as though we lost them. And if you looked at those teams and thought "piece of piss", then more fool you, that'll teach you to underestimate PL teams. I'll say it again, it's still early days. The team is still getting to know each other, we're still finding a formation that suits us and can accomodate our best players. There's still 96 points still to play for and for us to have a solid chance of staying up we need less than half that amount. Look forward to Saturday and enjoy the draw we'll inevitably get after being 4-0 up at half time.
At the start of the season the league always takes a while to settle down so you have to at least look to last season so I'm obviously talking about the top 6 from last season seeing as I don't actually own a time machine. Man City,Liverpool,Chelsea,Arsenal,Everton and Spurs will be there or there about's and I don't think many would doubt this. Ok I'll make my point this way, so far we have played 3rd, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th & 19th places looking purely at the current standings Hardly the easiest of starts eh! Either last seasons form our current form tells us that Crabby is talking bollocks when he says we have had one of the easiest starts.
If you mean me I'm not in a flap at all, I couldnt give two hoots if we're relegated. I am merely pointing out that i think there's a good chance of it. You could say the reason them teams are flying high is because they've taken points off us. Villa have been stuffed in their last 2 league games.
"@HumbersideSport: #Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor will out for the next month according to boss Steve Bruce #hcafc"
^ ^ ^ This, obviously... Burnley have had a tough start, don't you think? I mean, all the teams they've had to play are above them in the league
I wasn't referring to you, no, just the worriers that think that because we haven't got 5 wins already we're in some sort of trouble. I don't mind playing in the Championship, but I am mindful of how we are going to afford it. Plus the ramifications of Ffp.
Hull City Official ‏@HullCity QUOTES: Steve Bruce on Allan McGregor’s injury: “We’re just delighted he doesn’t need an operation, because we thought it might. Hull City Official ‏@HullCity SB: “The specialist has said we need to rest, and stop diving on it. Hopefully, in four to six weeks he’ll be back to normal.” Hull City Official ‏@HullCity SB: “Harper will give us that experience that we saw last year, he came into the fray and did fantastically for us.” Hull City Official ‏@HullCity SB: “I wish he was a few years younger, I’m sure he does too but he’s a very good goalkeeper.”
So boring people talking about relegation on the 2nd October. Is that what you really have in your mind, just enjoy it
when we've done with relegation can we start on administration and then maybe move onto Jimmy Bullard?
