To be fair 23 he has missed far more than he has scored so far this season! There were 2 sitters against us for example! Yeah he's not bad but he is nothing special.
no at all Dave, Im quite happy for somebody else to have a different opinion than myself............................... I will leave it there if you don't mind.
You would rather have a player like Mccgoldrick not having shots let alone missing them instead of a player who cost £3m and averaging over 1 goal every 2 games?.. Your player is valued at £11m our player cost nearly 25% of that obsurd figure .
Lets look at my opinion of whotun from the start. He would bring you a dire brand of defensive football - check He would get you relegated - check Tacticly naive - check And thats all without having insider training ground knowledge.
McGoldrick is a far better player and he sets up chances for others so yes I will stick with our Dids.
I like my forwards to score goals so I am delighted st the return so far and fully expect him to be in the top 5 high scorers again beating his tally of 22 last season.
Well thats good and I hope he does so long as he doesn't score any more goals against us (even though he was well offside)!
Mcgoldick scored 3 probably amazing goals Grabban scored 6 scrappy goals so no not particularly jealous . He didn't score in the derby either he looked very average for the price tag in my humble opinion.
TBF Didsy was about 70% match fit at best in that game, he is now probably getting close to full match fitness, please remember that we lost him for the last 1/4 of last season, that ultimatly cost us a play off spot. (IMO)
Just a final mention on our recently departed manager. What's with the 'Whotun' tag anyway? It makes it sound as if he's unheard of. He played nearly 300 games at Tottenham, represented his country, and has managed 4 teams in the top two divisions. It's just stupid (from guru, is that possible )
To be honest I think Grabban and McGoldrick would make a good pairing ones a talented player but not really an out and out instinctive striker and the other knows how to finish, albeit he missed four sitters at PR. I agree with the earlier assessment that Norwich should run away with this league. They should have goals, goals, goals and have a sensible footing. The other two relegated teams are just barking mad! The unknown quantity at Carrow Road is the manager and that for me is their only excuse for not going straight up.
Basically its because certain posters on your board was making out like he was next Alex Ferguson or something because he took basically a prem side up from the championship as though it was a great feat of management.
McGoldrick was the only player who looked like he had the smallest amount of quality when we played you. Haven't seen any of your games since, but based on your results a lot of players must have improved dramatically as you were terrible that day. Still think 8-11m is ridiculous for him. A by-product of McCormack gate.
" To be fair 23 he has missed far more than he has scored so far this season! There were 2 sitters against us for example! Yeah he's not bad but he is nothing special. " Warkie, even Messi Ronaldo etc miss more than they score! No player to my mind scores more than 51% of total chances. I think Grabban is an excellent player and had we not got McGoldrick he would have been a very good signing for us. On the subject of David Mc..... final year of contract and should he not sign what's the masterplan then people!?!?!
We have the best Defence in the League with the best Centre Back pairing in Chambers & Berra. Young Mings our Left Back has come on leaps and bounds and Parr at Right Back is solid and likes to bomb forward. In the middle we now an exciting array of different options especially in Bishop and Joniesta. So yeah things have improved dramatically since we played you!
