Coutinho looked better....unfortunately this coincided with the rest of the team looking worse. I thought Sterling was atrocious last night, seemed to spend more time falling over and appealing for fouls as well as giving the ball away all the time.
Suso got an infected splinter in his bum and is out for two months. (not sure who to give credit to that for- was on a different thread).
Really disappointed to read Rodgers comments on Mario basically saying he was the only option. Not sure what is going on but the whole club ethic has completely changed over the summer. I don't mind him criticising players but criticising a player who has just joined the club, playing in a system not suited to him is harsh. Especially when he's happy to continue playing dross like Skrtel, completely ignores the errors Lovren has made, continues to have his tongue up Stevie's a*se, and hasn't said anything about the £25m creative player who has yet to score or get an assist. (I know I'm being harsh as well but just saying it to make a point).
I reckon one of our problems is, we've gone from a shaky defence to having not one regular first team starters last season. Two new wing backs and pretty much 1 and a half centre backs. We were bad enough last year but to drop to what we have is impossible. I'm holding out hope that when regulars return from injury, we'll get back to winning ways!
