On that note i'm gonna take my leave of your board for now, got lots to do and some travelling coming up. Best of luck for sunday.
Well thanks for that Hod... As you said in a previous post, we are simple on the South coast. So you won't see us pretending we're a bigger club than we are, or belittling "smaller" club's managers who happen to be doing better than our own. It must be all that "smoke" that you speak of that is clouding your view... I look forward to us keeping it simple on the football pitch as we simply beat you!
tonight will be a test for Spuds as they try to play in the great Europa Cup. poor lads will be so worn out and disheartened by sunday I doubt their team will turn up, and it will be their tea ladies and groundsmen pulling on the shirt. (not for the first time)
10 changes. I would not expect any of them apart from the goalkeeper to play at the weekend. At least that means the team selection is presumably quite obvious (as in pretty much everyone who isn't playing tonight) Suggests a centre midfield of capoue, eriksen and mason. On paper we should win in that area. I also don't understand how Rose is their first choice left back Commentator mentioned that apparently Poch has said he is still in the process of implementing his philosophy at spurs. Now correct me if I am wrong but his philosophy clicked with us pretty much overnight didn't it? Yet he has had a whole pre-season and about 10 games and they still haven't taken to it? Perhaps it is what people said and there are too many egos at spurs who are not prepared to do it
The commentator on the Spurs game tonight pointed out that the Saints team was virtually settled last season, whereas Poch doesn't seem to have arrived at his best side at Spurs.
Hmmmm - MP inherited a good, hard working team with no egos - so he was really just carrying on from Nigel. Now he has some Prima Donnas to deal with.
So Lawro thinks that on form Saints should win, but Spurs will find a way to win 2-0 just like they got a point against Arsenal (more like lost 2 points really).
