Name one, (1), (uno), (a single) positive that came out of yesterdays game..... I'll be f##ked if I can think of one
well what i mean is i saw at least 3 occasions where previously he'd have dived in and he stood up and had patience and got us something. he also got up on over lapped, did stay onside and was found wit hthe bal. thats not bad. he was the best defender which was bad for us but hey.
The myth that Gerrard will get more time on the ball to "do his stuff" in European games was dispelled.
Well, no. To progress through the group stages, had we won yesterday, we could have afforded to lose both Madrid games and still been in the hunt.
This would be better if it was just a random OT thread and the question was just as the title suggests
Skrtel's error was clearly visible and hopefully Rodgers will finally realise he has a very good centre back in Sakho to build around. Rodgers will hopefully realise that Stevie is a liability in any set up apart from the diamond or when the attack delivers. Manquillo is our best defender this season, by a long way. Enrique will always be second best to Moreno. Ditch 4-2-3-1.
#scapegoat Try judging that game rather than have a expectation from previous games. Because he's had a few poor games people are looking for the errors. Even C.Ronaldo and Messi have poor moments in games so if you do look for them they are going to look bad. Lazar made some good runs and made a couple of half decent chances. Worked much harder than before too. Not saying he's suddenly a star player for us but he wasn't the poor playing last night that people have been scapegoating after recent games. I thought the same
Absolutely ****ing jack ****. I normally try to be positive, even after a bad result, but I can't after last night. Not ONE of the players on the pitch last night deserved to be wearing the shirt. That has to be the low point. As bad as when Hodgson was the ****ing manager. ****ing gutted
I thought Manquillo was very good and the standout player for me. Also, Sterling fluffed his lines but his movement was good and he got into the right positions.
I agree mate. Thought he looked better but still struggling. He's basically Sterling last year - sh*t for the first half. The lad needs time and he will develop into a top class player.
For me the only positives were it looked like Coutinho was getting a bit of form back some cracking balls played but did play some awful ones as well. Lallana has looked promising last few games i have seen of him.
