I'm sure SBC can speak for himself but I suspect the ol tongue is planted firmly in his cheek on occasion Swanny. As far as greatness goes I feel our politicians are a bit like our football team - extremely mediocre. Cameron acknowledged that in his speech pretty much when he said I might be **** but I'm not as **** as Ed Milliband. I have to say on the particular point I'm inclined to agree with him.

Guess you're right, Chaninbar. I often miss these 'tongue-in-cheek' posts unfortunately! <doh>

I say a lot of nonsense spoken on the forum yesterday eve. Of course I wasn’t speaking tongue in cheek re Mr Cameron. In my view such a crime is worthy of a lengthy stretch in the big house.

I think the ‘leaders speeches’ this past week or so have confirmed who will be resident in Number 10 come the end of May ’15 and it won’t be Glenn Milliband’s brother. Whereas he forgot half his words and resembled a tongue tied head boy from the lower sixth Mr Cameron spoke with passion, verve and authority leaving us in no doubt as to who should lead this EU member state forward.

    Conclusions:

SBC is not Sam Cam, unless she is playing a really strong bluff here...

He cannot be the “greatest living Yorkshireman” as that was so straight in the corridor of uncertainty that Sir Geoffrey Boycott will be spinning in his commentary box.

    That only really leaves Boris...

A further conclusion: one man's great is another man's fanny spanner (with thanks to the correspondent on the Scottish Indy thread for introducing me to that damn fine expression). <laugh>

The 'nonsense' was brought upon the thread by yourself, SBC. To call this guy 'great' is frankly ridiculous. 'Fanny Spanner' is pretty close to my opinion of him, and a few other politicos in Europe.

Sad for the opposition then that have an even more ENORMOUS fanny spanner at the helm. Halfwit cant even get a speech right in front of his own supporters!

How about nipple spanners? I think that's preferable because they work with tits.

PS Just as well this thread will be going on to the next page soon. lol
