Sounds like it'll be Harper. I don't mind that, we needed something different in goal anyway.

Harper please. I fear if Jak gets in.

It will be Harper, but I think he's too slow, I'd go for the Jak.

Hull City have been dealt an untimely injury blow with keeper Allan McGregor ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace.

The 32-year-old has been troubled by a shoulder injury in recent weeks and scans have revealed damage that requires a spell of rest.

Steve Harper is expected to deputise for the visit of the Eagles behind a defence under the microscope following a run of 13 goals conceded in the last five games.

McGregor had played in every minute of City’s Premier League campaign this season, a feat matched only by Ahmed Elmohamady.

Harper is a bit slow, but Jakupovic? No chance. With Palace's big boys up for set pieces he'd bottle it.

Hmmm, all the pieces are fitting now to make a relegation jigsaw.

I think Harper is our best bet simply because it's Palace - they do seem to depend heavily on pushing big men forwards for set pieces and I'm sure Neil Warnock would be telling them to clatter Eldin at the first opportunity. I believe that he has improved and is now capable of deputising but this is one team in particular where it would be a big risk.

Blessing in disguise? A number have commented on the mistakes McGregor has been making. I wonder how serious this injury actually is. Maybe to save face and give his understudy a chance?

Might not be a bad thing. Last time we played Palace McGregor had no protection from the referee and was assaulted on numerous occasions. It got to him and he saw red. No doubt Palace would have targeted him again.

Harper is not as agile but won't get wound up by any similar tactics.

If Ramirez is fit I see him starting ahead of Livermore.

Tim Vickery the South American expert on Talksport was asked about Ramirez yesterday, he said he would produce some moments of brilliance, and has a wonderful left foot - but could not do 90 minutes and often had to be carried. To the point Uruguay have given up on him.

Agree again, but can't see SB dropping Livermore after forking out £8m on him ,he's been off form for a while now.

What's utter bollocks about it? Do you not think we'll be in a relegation battle this season? To me it massively already looks like DQPR, Burnely + A N Other.

After the start we've made, the lack of cohesion, the too many players and the unrest this'll cause I think there's a bloody good chance we'll finish bottom 3.
