Sagbo has been with us just over 12 months - I've been on this site almost 4 years. You two must obviously know more about the game than me as I've only been following City since 1946 so perhaps you could tell me why a bloke who scores as many times as a blind homosexual in a 'Madam's' brothel can be called a "Striker". I believe he is second only to Billy Bly as the lowest scorer for Hull City - that was a joke Ethel, Billy was a Goalkeeper by the way. I mention Sagbo a lot on here because there are people on here who continually make excuses for him when that same aforementioned blind man could see that he isn't a strikers @rsehole.
Sorry mate. Not got one. I was parked outside Gilbert Baitsons towards end of last season waiting for somebody to let me out. There was this big white 4x4 opposite me with French plates on. The bird driving it was a stunner. I spoke to her in my best French and she was really chatty and reversed up to let me out. It was then I noticed Sagbo in the front passenger seat. Gotta find a photo

It seems our man didn't get off to a very good start....... http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/main/s115/st187374.htm?
Well, Mr Quill, for a bloke averaging 21 posts per day on this site, it looks like you haven't anything better to do than troll. Oh, I nearly forgot, I wouldn't want my average to go down so I'll just mention his name - Sagbo!
a quick trawl reveals.. 453 Sagbo 234 His Mum 112 His Gran 43 Steve Bruce 31 The Council 19 Tactics 13 Nigel Farange 12 Kelly Divine 5 Stevie G 4 Assem Allam 3 The Fail 1 Next door's cat
So anyway Sagbo. HDM article today mentions reports in the midlands saying he was too deep in their game last night. That's the exact problem he's had with us. I don't get it, whys it so hard for him to just go near the goal a bit more? It's not a hard thing to try and do surely? Most players would love being told to stay forward. Like Chazz implied, he clearly has the ability and he can finish well too, but I've never known a striker spend so much time away from the goal as him.
I have known OLM for yonks Mr Quill and we have had many discussions on these and other boards and have never sank to the depths of slagging each other - to the best of my memory because sometimes I have come on these boards, late at night or in the early hours, '8 sheets to the wind' and the following day I can't remember posting sometimes. OLM is also a Moderator on these boards which is why his postage count is higher than yours. I have had these 'striker' discussions many times with many posters especially some years ago when I had the temerity to tell anyone who would listen that Jozy Altidore was as useful as tits on a bull up front. This got me into many heated discussions and banned from the USA 'BigSoccer' boards. It might be of interest to note that although Jozy found his level in the Eredivise he only scored 1 from 9 for Bursaspor and so far (wait for it) has managed a staggering ONE goal from 34 appearances at Sunlun BUT some people are still making excuses for him. I do not know how to classify a player with Jozy's style (or Sagbo's) when they are listed as 'striker' when neither could find their own front door with a map let alone the back of the net. I will discuss Sagbo with you any time but you are just making excuses for the bloke. He's just another Altidore.
He's not another Altidore, they're totally different types of striker. In terms of goals to games ratio he's not done terribly compared to some of the dross we've had over the years and he's certainly a good footballer, but his tendancies to drift wide and his short fuse seem to be his downfall. We've all seen him finish (his goals against Everton and Southampton were good enough for any PL striker) so we know he's got the ability, but he just hasn't seemed to click. He seems to work best linking up with an AM and he's very adept at holding the ball up, probably because his touch is very good. Goals aren't the only job a striker has, they're also used to open up space for goalscoring midfielders, holding up play (as I mentioned before) and using their strength to make space at set pieces. Putting the ball in the back of the net is their main task, but it's not their only one. It's like saying a police officer is **** at their job because they don't make enough arrests, because you know there's more to the job than just nicking people. He doesn't need excuses or defending, he is what he is and that's a striker. Whatever it is you judge striking ability on, is up to you, but your constant slating of him (and, even more incredbily, Aluko) is getting daft.
bit rich coming with your views on Meyler. Roo hasnt constantly slated him . He's voiced his opinion, he aint good enough. Brucey has agreed with him.
