I can't see them getting anything in either game against Madrid tbh. Rodriguez, bale and Ronaldo are all scoring for them, whilst balotelli is failing to fill Suarez shoes at Liverpool. The Liverpool defence looks very vulnerable too.

If Basel do the double over ludo then Liverpool could be practically out with two games to play.

People are talking like Basel are some minnows who've pulled off a shock result. They've given plenty of the top teams tough games

Balotelli is the opposite of Suarez.

Suarez worked his socks off for 90 minutes.
Had a total ambition to score as many goals as possible at any cost .

Never seen a player with such a hunger to win .

Mario is a lazy journeyman who wants the ball at his feet or hes not interested .

It also depends on the team, if you have good playmakers, who can feed you the ball like Ozil-Sanchez then you can be lazy and just wait for it, Liverpool don't have that at all, though they were touting Coutinho as a superstar last season claiming he's better than Ozil lol.

    .

Disagree with that. Ozil and Sanchez find players because they make good runs, not because they stand there waiting for the ball to come to them like Balotelli does. He is almost the opposite of what they had with Suarez.

No chance. If you are lazy and make no real runs than you won't that score that many goals. Ozil of all people relies on his forwards to make good forward runs. Gerrard might be a hasbeen but he can still pick a pass and if that lazy twonk, Balotelli bothered to move, then Gerrard would find him.

We had the perfect example in Adebayor, in the 07-08 season he ran his socks off and and never stopped moving, and he scored over 30 goals with Fabregas feeding him. The next season, he became a lazy prick, and he scored nowhere near that amount of goals he scored in the previous despite having the same creative players behind him.

Ronaldo with another 2 goals tonight. Is there still even a debate about who the best player in the world is?

And the thing that took him past Messi for me was the fact that he finally developed an unselfish side to his game. Way better team player these days and can pick a pass. Just now when he had the goal at his mercy for his hat trick, he instead passed it to Benzema.

Ronaldo has almost always been more of a team player than Messi, despite what most people think. The impression of Ronaldo as being selfish comes from his superstar image. As a winger, he not only works hard at creating opportunities by running his socks off all game, he also presses the opposition defence and wins the ball back. The only thing he doesn't do that well is track backwards, because he and his manager knows that this will reduce his attacking potency. He still helps out a lot in defence though.

Messi on the other hand sits in the middle of the pitch and demands the ball all the time. When he has it, he produces moments of magic to get past players and score or create space to pass to someone else to score. But he doesn't work at all in defence, and is much more selfish on the ball than Ronaldo.

Not true of Messi pre 2011. He was a part of that Barca team that pressed the life out of the opposition. He led the pressing. After Pep left, he became more lazy. Messi is a better passer than Ronaldo and even without the goals, he would still be the best play maker in the world. Ronaldo has really developed that side of his game in the last few years.
