We should just play a 7-2-1 and hoof it up to Welbeck Bellerin .. Chambers .. Mertesaker .. Hayden .. Koscielny .. Monreal ... Gibbs ................................Ozil ....................... Sanchez................................... ................................................Welbeck.................................................
Against Chelski I'd go with: Shez Chambers Kos Mert Gibbs Flamini Diaby OXO Ozil Sanchez Welbeck I suspect Wilshere will start though, but he's too lightweight and I can see him easily getting bullied off the ball while Diaby on the other hand offers us much more physical strength and power to anchor the midfield. Even today when Wilshere made a slight cameo he was getting thrown down again as usual, it's not like it's going to get any easier when he's up against Chelski and got strong midfielders like Matic breathing in on him.
but he would cry like a bitch about our "negative tactics " no question about it. But they can do it against Barca and its " tactical sense".
Didn't see the game & highlights no available yet but reading thru this thread it sounds like a great win Good job the lads - great for Welbeck to smash himself into Wengers long-term plans, great for Ozil to be performing better, great for Chambers to get more minutes & the back four to get game time together. For this weekend it's a difficult one - Mourinho generally plays conservative against the top teams so trickery may be more important than pace.
Galatasaray were poor, but don't let that take away what we did. The whole team played really well and with good pace and movement off the ball. We made them look poor because we pulled them all over the place. You need to check out the goals, because a couple of them for Welbeck were very Thierry Henry like. Bodes well
