Really good performance and a very good step in the right direction overall in our play.

Congratulations to Danny Welbeck, brilliant goals. Well done Danny <magic>

I bet you that instead of sticking with a working formula with Ox-Ozil-Carzola-Sanchez. Wenger will put Wilshere back in the line up come Saturday

It'd be a very attacking line up to play away at Chelsea.

Realistically Dortmund are going to win their next 3 games, we need to do the same to have any chance of winning the group

Good performance tonight, MOTM was Dat Guy, i wonder if he's been studying tapes of Thierry Henry, because his play at times tonight reminded me of the King.

Alexis was excellent again, 100% effort and a lot of quality touches too. Ox was a lot better than he was against Villa, Ozil at time looked disinterested, but he did put in a decent shift, can't fault him for that.

The only negative was Szczesny's rush of blood, if that guy had a brain he'd be an excellent keeper, pity he's so error prone. Would like to see more of Ospina after tonight's performance, he was excellent for Nice, without him they probably would have been relegated.

Well because of the red card for Szcz we will see ospina in the champions league at least. And I expect he will play our fa cup games too.

Last season we played Ox in the middle and we got murdered. If they are available then it's Arteta / Wilshere for me.

very true, but i wouldn't really say that Wilshere is that more defensively able then Carzola. Maybe time for Diaby..he played well in the reserve game against Villa a few weeks back. Seemed to have a more defensive mind frame then Id previously seen from him.

I'd honestly consider giving him an audition (of sorts) to be our #1 keeper, i felt a lot more comfortable with him in goal than i do with Szczesny. It wasn't the saves, it was the little things, like smarter distribution, actually calling for an aerial ball, just those little things you want a keeper to do.

I believe Arsene has said that Arteta is unavailable for Sunday. Is it worth giving Diaby a go and praying he stays fit?

great game for arsenal - hope the special one was watching Welbeck.

looking forward to seeing Cahill and Terry against Welbz and Sanchez and Ox being fed by Ozil/Cazola

Was a very nice performance and we could have had at least 2 more with Cazorla and Rosicky/Welbeck, but I think it shows what we can do when given space to play with - there's space for our pace players to move into, and time for us to pick our passes and pull people out of position. We don't get that space in the Prem unfortunately - as teams sit deep, and it means our pace players have to stop and come back otherwise they'll be offside.

My hope for Chelsea is that we at least give ourselves a chance this time. No 2-0 down after 10 mins please

Really pleased to see the team playing with speed tonight. I mentioned it on the the Walcott and Pace thread and that's exactly what we needed to see from them. Moving the ball quickly, getting runners in behind to make spaces for the midfield moving forward and having balls played behind the defence to turn them around to face their own goal.

Chavs game is going to be very different as we'll be on the back foot for the majority of it, but if we're cute, we'll move the ball forward quickly when we have it and try and release Sanchez and Welbeck, who should enjoy some space in their back four. Also Terry and Cahill are not quick and I think it's an area which we can exploit on Sunday.
