I agree with your sentiments re Jackson Ponders. Both Kinsella and Jackson share the same leadership qualities, of that thereâs no doubt. However, IMHO Kinsella was for me was the catalyst for a huge change in our fortunes. The £150,000 we coughed up for him is in my opinion the best money we have ever spent on a player. Thereâs maybe an argument for marking them the same in terms of leadership qualities, but for me in terms of pure football ability Mark Kinsella is/was head and shoulders better than JJ.
No, we'll finish in the top two. I think you'll finish top 10, perhaps even sneak a play-off place, but there there are a lot of teams in a similar bracket. Who's Bryn Gunn anyway? Is he a Welsh relation to our Scottish ex GK?
Kinsella was a wonderful player, and I loved it when he used to get on the ball outside the area and everyone would shout, 'Shoot!' And 150k for a legend. That is up there with the 75k for Johnny Robinson and the 50k for Garry Nelson. I don't think we paid a penny for JJ, though.
Seriously? Is that incident at 1.35 the 'blatant' penalty that all the Norwich reps are up in arms about? Seriously, how far away is JJ when he kicks it at Bikey's arm? And on what planet is Stephen Henderson not going to save it anyway, so red card?! Fed up with all this whiney managers coming out being pissed off because they've played against a team who know how to defend and clinging to every little decision that could've gone their way. Not the most attacking threat ever from a Charlton team certainly, but he told the boys to grind them down and they'd get frustrated... and it worked. 18 points and 2 points from the top... good effort lads. And 'lucky' Charlton have beaten all 3 of the top 4 sides we've played... who between them have only lost 2 games out of their remaining 27!! When are the team going to get some credit!? Totally agree that JJ's put himself into the list of legendary captains for me... did it with those two kicks against the Sheffield sides in League One!
Try taking your rose tinted glasses off and watch it objectively. Arm out, keeper wrong footed, denies a goal. I've tried to be as reasonable as possible on here and wish you well but that's the stupidest comment I've read on here for ages. Ta ta Skag Addiks. Enjoy mid table mediocrity which is undoubtedly what's coming your way this year.
Ooh how do those grapes taste, pretty sour eh. Get over yourself, you win some you lose some, move on.
You think you're being objective According to the 2014-15 FIFA interpretation of the laws of the game: http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/...retation-of-the-laws-of-the-game-2014-15.ashx I don't think his arm is out any more than is natural. There is very little distance between Jackson and Bikey. Neither can you seriously say that it 'denied a goal'. It was going slowly and Henderson was right there. A tad wrong-footed, yes, but he had time to recover and hold on comfortably. That, my friend, is reason. That said, all the best for the rest of the season. I genuinely would like to see you back and established in the Premier League.
Take off your green-tinted contacts you unreasonable muppet. Watched it perfectly objectively... you're basing half your judgment on slow motion and half on full speed and seeing the Norwich point of view for both. Arm out is irrelevant when the ball's been going in the other direction and is hit towards him from no more than 2 yards... seriously you're saying you'd expect that to be given against you? You're coming with your degrees of certainty and outrage 'blatant' hand-ball, 'denies a goal'... when all I said was that your whiney manager was moaning about a bad decision like a moany little schoolkid. Just cos your keeper can't respond to a tiny little deflection on a pee-roller. Thank you for the vid and the cheap insult, missing you already. Very rare that I take issue against an opposing fan coming on the site, but I do hate the ones who pretend to be reasonable whilst putting in their little digs. And revealed your true colours there with your 'skag addiks' comments. Byeeeeeeee.
I would like to apologise on behalf of one of my fellow so called fans . Whatever the outcome there was no reason to call you skag addicts in a petulant attempt to throw his toys out of the pram totally OTT he should be ashamed of himself. Good luck for the rest of the season and see you at the Valley later.
Top man, 23. We can meet up at The Valley for tiffin, eh? Jonno has a fair bit on his plate at the moment, but he and his kin are doing well and he'll be back on GC shortly. Go easy, pal.
"Who is Bryan Gunn?" - he is the "Norwich hero" who donned a pair of glasses which he then thought gave him the gravitas to be your manager He then brought your team to the Valley on the last day of the season, and we beat you 4-2 and relegated you
The match had brought some comic relief after an awful season. When we were leading 3 or 4-1 I remember both sets of fans chanting ''stand up, if you're going down'' and the whole ground rose and both sets of fans then applauded the other for what felt like an eternity.
