Cause he picked up a knock in training the day before the game. But what does Woy care if Hendo gets injured whilst playing its not like a 2-3 week lay off would effect England since the next game isn't for ages, no its just going to impact on Liverpool which we all know Woy couldn't give a **** about since he clearly still has a thing against us.

He can't pick him on Saturday and then claim he's not fit to play for England.

He should have said **** all, played him Saturday and then announced that he'd picked up a 'niggle' in the game.

By opening his ample gob, he's now ****ed himself, as if he does that now, I'd have money on England demanding he attends the camp so that they can check him themselves.

I still don't understand why physical (as opposed to tactical) training is different from the individual players clubs, at least outside of actual tournament month. I mean Sturridge was injured doing full length sprints of the pitch with a shot at the end of it. Like seriously, Liverpool forgot to work on these things with their main striker?????

The club spent shed loads of money on the players physical development and monitors weak points and injury dangers for each player. The England coaches get them for a week at most during qualification or friendlies. Why on earth do they think their methods are superior to the clubs?

Liverpool (and any other club) should tell their players if they go to England during the season they continue with the club rest/training regime and refuse to change it no matter what. If they do they get dropped at club level and won't get picked for bloody England.

Tell England that the players are following club orders until they hire coaches with methods in this century.

    Of course he can

He can easily claim that getting 20 minutes from the bench is part of his planned rehabilitation schedule which also includes reporting to Liverpool training every day for specific training schedules

Being ready to have limited and observed training with the first team does not mean ready to fly around the world and play whatever arbitrary number of minutes a ******ed **** dinosaur wants

Hodgson can still pull rank and ask Sturridge to be examined. He can call him and not play him too even if he is not fully fit. Having said, most England managers try not to upset the club managers.

Calling him away from his scheduled LFC training to listen to Hodgson's moronic ideas would be an "act of war"

And as I say. Make it clear to all our players that they, even if called up, refuse to deviate from a set club regime. What's hodgetwat going to do drop him? Well that's what we want anyway......

  13. Its not what the player wants. If we got a reputation for forcing players into things like this it would compromise our future transfer windows. Maybe we should just go all out and insert a 'no international games' clause in their contracts <whistle>

Na, that's why you need the club statement.

Make it clear It's only in instances where the/a national squad has repeatedly ignored the club over a players health and fitness which has resulted in injury. This is certainly the case here.

Statement to say: club understands that they can't stop a call up but these specific coaches injured him last time and breached the clubs trust in their ability so specific instructions have been issued to the player. If the national team who sees the player once every few months trys to bully or coerce the player into action against the clubs specialists advice we will sue the individual/s involved in the event of further damage....

**** the FA, they've done nothing in their history to warrant cooperation from Liverpool football club in fact the opposite and we need to make it clear we think the current coaching staff are clearly incompetent.

International games are good experience! Using different strategies and techniques against the world's best with high pressure. Think they're good for players.

Just need a national manager who isn't a complete twat and gets them injured.

So the owl faced cock declares war?

Threatening an injured (he ****ing injured him) Sturridge that his place is under threat and refusing to adhere to the two day rest because "it didn't work in Brazil"

No woy, your team and tactics were dog ****e, that's why you were crap in Brazil.

Seriously...put him in the away section every time he comes to Anfield....

I usually support England but I hope they dont win another game while he is in charge.

Sturridge must put club before country, anyway Woy will be gone soon just like his many useless predecessor's since SBR.

And if the player continues to do the business at club level he'll get chosen for England by Woy's successor.
