How we all doing? I always start on top difficulty legendary play a few friendlies then when im up to speed dive straight into manager mode. Well I played half a dozen friendlies and didnt win a single one in normal time. But hey ho I dived into a career mode as Palace. Board expectations - finish in a europa league spot (no wonde Pulis left) 8 games in im bottom with 2 points..... Attacking I find fine and its an improvement on 14. Defending however im finding extremely difficult, feels like I cant get near the oppenent and if I go in for a challenge they are gone and through on your keeper. How are people finding it?
I'm annoyed that they ahven't fixed the CPU running round in circles issue, and the fact you can't run past a player onto a ball even if you are quicker, two issues they blamed on the old consoles lacking power. It's too easy to score a raker, and one on one you can't miss, despite the supposedly improved keepers. At the minute, I think all the work has gone into the admittedly phenomenal presentation, but even on a next gen console, it doesn't feel gameplay wise any improvement to 14 on the One. I'm midway through second season as Sunderland, finished 7th year 1, currently sitting 5th playing on world class. Rodwell is up to an 81, AJ 80, and I just sold Wickham for £8.5million and replaced him with Benteke for £11million! Benteke is a beast on it.
The last football game I played was probably Subbuteo, so forgive me if I can't contribute any meaningful input into this thread..
I haven't started on ultimate team yet mate, I don't go onto it until I feel like I've got a grip of the game, I can feel it coming, you know that point when you seem to have time on the ball and that, what I'm still struggling to get to grips with turning quickly, it seems to take an age to collect and turn, even if you do it with th skill move command. It's always the same though. They say you can 'burst out of turns' on the next gen, but I could do that on the 360, and I'm struggling to master it on the One, used to be point and push right analogue but that doesn't work on the One. I'll get it like, I've not played online or with mates enough yet, and that's when you learn, cos you get a bit more time. The computer AI is so annoying after they bigged up how intelligent it was gonna be, running round in circles same as it's been for years. The strength thing as well is ridiculous, I've signed Shawcross and he gets outmuscled for fun, he's 6 ft ****ing 4. Flipside, Giacc is scoring headers and bossing CB's for fun, ****ing get it right man EA this is a £60 game!
Decent that mate! Tell you who's class for next to know spends, Scott Sinclair, rapid as **** and class touch.
Don't be put off mate it's the same every year, there'll be a patch that will fix most, and a lot of the time it's just getting used to it. Whenever you start a new FIFA it seems like you have a nano second on the ball, but then you get used to it. The long passing is unreal, and the first touch when you get it right is pure sexual. Last night I'd pinged a crossfield to AJ, just kept it in but he'd ran off the park, turned back and flicked it over the defenders slide and off, I dunno how I did it but it's thngs like that that have been added and once you get used to them and can use them effectively it will be class. Mannone is utterly shpcking on crosses mind, I'm gonna have to replace him. The transfers are still ridiculous, Aguero & Kompany have both signed for Chelsea, would never, ever happen, and I sold Wickham to Barcelona, haha. As if.
The big thing for me as the AI of your own players, I've not played a fifa yet where I can get my off the ball players behaving how I want them too. So how is the AI fella?
Little thing like pulling shirts are a huge leap IMO. Cw probably think he shoulde be playing at barca level.
It's better, but still pretty poor. You can go into each player and give them instructions, some of it works, some doesn't. I've signed Naughton RB and have him and PVA on 'always overlap' that works class. I've got Ravel Morrison CAM and told him edge of box for crosses, that works class so second balls he's always there. Problem, as always, is wingers, I have AJ & Buckley on 'run in behind' yet they are static when the CM's have the ball, really annoying. Crossing ain't great either but that's probs just getting used to it, as the power gauge is more accurate now, but bi'll bet that the running of the wingers would be exactly the AI that would piss you off. Catts is class on it, desite only being a 74 his touch is class, I'm glad they acknowledged that, Vergini is up to a 78 after a season as well. We should buy the exact team I have..... -------------Benteke----------------- --------------Ravel------------------ Buckley----------------------------AJ -----------Catts---Rodwell----------- PVA----Vergini--Shawcross--Naughton -----------Mannone----------------- Bench I have Jozy, Sinclair, Santi Mina (Celta younng un, gonna be a real star....), Jones, Seb, Mavrias, Pants Sent Mandron on loan he starts as a 60, came back a 66! He's got high potential i game so gonna flog Jozy and move Mandron up and start bringing him on as sub. I get way too into this **** man, ha.
There's no way that Fifa is gonna be 'one to remember' this year, the consumer just expected it to be simply because of the new/next gen consoles. Microsoft and Sony have said it's gonna be end of 2015 before the public sees just what can be done with these machines. Developers take 3 years to get the best out of a console and they've only had access to the kit since early 2013. Fifa 15 was always going to be a small progression, it's ok but there's nothing particularly breathtaking about it. Edit: One major improvement is who the EA servers patch you against, no longer am I being introduced to 'Mr Dial Up Connection' in FUT, they seem to have managed to find a way of dumping idiots with a crap internet speed.
Problem is though mate that they openly said they'd fixed the run around in circles and blocked by an invisible wall things, they blamed that on the old gen graphics system. They said it was fixed, categorically, and it isn't, these are the 2 main things that ruin it for me and have been for a couple years.
As it stands I'm waiting until it's much cheaper marra, How is it on passing into space? Ideally i'd like to set up my counter game for passing into space but found off the ball players weren't up to it and passes that aren't to feet too unpredictable. I like to play on hardest setting meaning I have to defend a lot against the top teams but never been able to hit teams on the break the way I want to. Doesn't sound like the game is good enough tbh yet again.
The game is the best on the market, as a footy sim so it's like it or lump it time isn't it? Shame really, but once somebody has the monopoly of the market others can barely compete. 6/7 years ago it looked as if Pro Evo was about to put Fifa in the bin for good, but Fifa just pulled it out the bag at the right time. It's always gonna do things that annoy the players, but I genuinely think that Fifa 16 will be the one to get people excited. F1 and other top titles have said from day zip they'll gonna perfect the game on the new machines and not bother rolling out half-arsed efforts, EA sports don't seem to care about that.
