We’ve not got a great record against Spurs and have not beaten them since our return to the PL so we are overdue a win. Of course the game has added spice with the first face off against our old manager MP. Spurs have made an inconsistent start to the season and have the added disadvantage of having to play a Europa game home to Besiktas tomorrow. No doubt MP will make a lot of changes and that could help us on Sunday. MP seems to be struggling to know what his best eleven is but has a very talented squad so this will still be a tough test. For Saints with the exception of Jrod and JWP Ron has pretty much a full squad to choose from. For me the midfield will be key as we need to cut off any service to Adebayor. I’d start with Forster Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Vic Morgan Davis Tadic Pelle Mane Subs KD Targett Gardos Cork Reed Gallagher Long Would really love to win this one and with confidence sky high no reason why Saints can’t get a result. 2-0 Saints with goals for Mane and Pelle. COYR!
Okay, boys. Honest opinions only, now, and all wumming aside... How many do you think the mighty Spurs are gonna win by? And, please, keep it clean, lads.
Good luck on sunday ladies and gents. Hope the match is decided by the players rather than the ref. I'd put you as slight favourites with the way we're playing at the moment, but maybe we'll get a boost from the draw at the Emirates, you can never tell which Spurs will show up. If you can nullify Lamela you have a great chance as all our other attackers seem woefully off form (Chadli is sticking the onion in the sack but thats about it)
They have been woeful all season, but you can guarantee that spurs always turn it on against us. I would be extremely happy if we can get a point tbh.
Overseeing a meltdown, you say? £35m transfer profit post-exodus and a new squad that sits above Spurs and Liverpool, up in 2nd place in the league. That'd be Ronald Koeman. please log in to view this image
Logic would say not under Poch as he's massively rotating. He changed all 10 outfield players after our last EL game when we played West Brom at home. Of course we went ahead and lost that one
