would rather watch a party political broadcast than the first tie Matth, but for 2 hours this evening I will be a die hard Basel fan
So, can anyone shed any light on why the **** they plan on increasing capacity? Talk about massive delusions of grandeur. Know your ****ing place; small time mikey mouse joke of a club.
10,000 empty seats in the CL is pretty shocking. We had fewer empty seats when we played Ajax in the EL a couple of years back, and that's in a stadium that's over half again as big as City's!
Agreed. Not bothered but cannot understand it at all. If they want to be taken seriously as a big club in Europe they really have to do well in the CL. But with the crowd lower than that of a match against a relegation side in the PL they are sending the wrong message to the players.
I actually thought that was a ****ing disgraceful turn-out. Home game V Roma. What was the actual figure? You could hear a ****ing pin drop in there.
If Basel attack from the off and don't give them too much respect (as the PL runners up) they could get a good result tonight. #onemanteam
About 37,000. Someone pointed out that they used to get attendances around 30,000 when they were playing Sunderland in the Championship. Bit sad that after all that money and the success it's bought their fans won't even support the club in the top club competition in the world!
You'd have thought that given they are a ****ing massive club (trade mark) and that every single person in Manchester is a City fan, not to mention the massive support from the outlying areas and that all the plastic United fans have now of course jumped ship to City because they're, like, really really good, they'd be able to fill that poxy ****e hole of a stadium that they don't even own. Wouldn't you?
You would. In a region where the total local population is approaching 3 million, and the club subsidises ticket prices to the point at which they have the cheapest season ticket prices in the league, and the club is, as you say, a ****ing massive club and the Only Club in Manchester (trademark), you would surely expect them to rustle up 48,000 fans for a Champions League game without a hint of trouble. Maybe there was a particularly tantalising episode of Corrie on last night?
You are obviously NOT a corrie fan. I am one. None on Tuesdays...Eastenders was PARTICULARLY tantalsing last night.
