Not for the faint hearted this one but I an on RUSSIAN ICE 18-1 Kempton 20:45 who is a four times course and distance winner. She really should be going close off her current mark especially if she gets the hold up ride she prefers. From 11 Crowley will have little choice but to drop her in. Fingers crossed she gets the split, probably at the cut away, and comes home in good style.
Info's been s**t the last couple of times so didn't really want to pass this on but just incase, 5 45 Kempton - Macks Sister 16/1
This is the time of the year when Ivorys horses come into form though, and Crowley/Ivory have a very good strike rate and it is about time Russian Ice got back to winning ways, class horse on it's day. Ivory 2 winners from last 3 runners 8/1, 10/1 , other one was 2nd at 10s. Ironically Macks Sister used to be trained by Ivory, here's hoping for the double!
Make it a treble Chelsea Kempton 7.45 Opera Box 9-2 I have gone in bigger than I would usually in such a race as this but I think this horse has a great chance. She has been contesting much better races than this at level C1, 2 and 3 the last time it dropped to a grade 4 it won and the jockey that day was George Baker. The horse has been entered and pulled out a couple of times recently but if she runs tomorrow I think she will go very close indeed.
Off to salisbury for the old mans 60th and what looks a half decent card, any thoughts on the racing would be greatly appreciated cheers all
BPG Newcastle 5.10 spoke last week with owner (one of them) and he said "one more race at Newcastle soon and then he goes jumping he will go well" im on EW at 10s stay frosty

1.45 Kisumu - shaped with lots of promise on debut 2.50 Best of Times - Impressive last time out, should be too good for these 3.55 Basem - Think he is still ahead of the handicapper, Hughes for Goldolphin 4.40 Moscato - Sir Mark prescott charge on a hat-trick, say no more All pretty short priced, 4 x trebles and 1 4 fould
he has placed (sorry) over the hurdles and James is pleased with his schooling so hope for good steady things when he does go if i know the forum will know apsrt from them 2 small fields it looks a good card mate pity i dont know any body there as i would have sorted tickets for you pops
Cheers H thats a lovely thought, I'm not far from salisbury and attend as much as i can through the season so maybe next time Mr Lee's riding at the track
Strange card at Salisbury today in that typically at this time of year you will get loads of races in an afternoon of â5/1 the fieldâ but today, at Salisbury, you have 4 odds-on shots plus another 3, at the moment that are 15/8 or less! No bet meet for me but the 2 that I will keep an eye out for would be KISUMU in the card commencer (1.45) and STREET ENTERTAINER in the âlucky lastâ (5.30). The former is a son of High Chaperell and is bred in the purple being a brother to Grade 1 Canadian International winner, Redwood, whilst his grandam won the French Oaks. Kisumu shaped win enormous potential on debut for Sir Mick and given the way his 2YOs have been improving on their second outing he really should oblige here unless one of the unraced ones is very smart. Long term heâs also a Derby entrant. Those bookie chappies giving absolutely nothing away though re Kisumuâs price today. Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale I ask myself just what those old rogues the Pipeâs are up to with Street Entertainer. Twice a winner over the sticks since he last ran on the level, back in June â13, they have recruited a highly capable 7 lb claimer to reduce his 9-13 impost here. Based on his 2 runs on the level in â13 a perch of 74 doesnât look harsh here and Iâd be surprised if Street Entertainer didnât figure on ground and over a trip he will relish. They may be total rogues but the Pipeâs can switch a horse from the NH code to the Flat one as well as anyone.
Will Ingleby Barwick's finest ride his first Royal winner today (I am right about that aren't I Heis?).
he did live there mate your right, now has a farm house at Exelby would be nice but he is in poor form lately, havent spoke for a while the richie mac and kate walton nonsense has spooked a lot of us up here and it is complete nonsense
3:45 Notts - Maven 12/1 4:50 Notts - Rocket Rob 7/1 5:45 Kempton - Silken Poppy 25/1 9:15 Kempton - George Baker 11/2
