We are reaching that time of the season where the cup competitions start for us. Whilst we enter the Fourth Qualifying round of the F.A. Cup on 25 October 2014 we have a replacement for the Football League Trophy (JPT) and enter unchartered territory for us where banana skins are definitely in abundance and waiting to slip clubs up. The Prize money (if you can call it that) goes from £2000 for winning the first preliminary round and £50000 for winning the Final. The dates are as follows; Carlsberg F.A. Trophy Preliminary 18 October 1st Qualifying 1 November 2nd Qualifying 15 November 3rd Qualifying 29 November 1st Round Proper 13 December 2nd Round Proper 10 January 3rd Round Proper 24 January 4th Round Proper 7 February Semi Final 21 February Semi Final 28 February Final Sunday 29 March at Wembley Though due to England Euro Qualifiers and the congestion for fixtures the venue might be moved.
GassyAde Forgive me here if I sound stupid but you have that we enter in the 4th qualifying round but the list of rounds doesnt show a 4th qualifying round. You also said we enter on 25th Oct but that puts us between the Premliminary round and 1st qualifying round. Im confused.com
I know that's how it's drawn. I believe that if we drop out of F.A.Cup we drop into the F.A.Trophy. All the info is taken from the F.A. Website.
I've just re read my original post and it does say we enter the F.A. Cup in the fourth qualifying round and we have another competition to replace the JPT which is The F.A. Trophy. Our participation in this is on first round proper in December. My second post was getting confused with CJS's post. So in reflection we enter th F.A.Cup in the Fourth qualifying round in October and F.A. Trophy in the First Round Proper in December. Hope that clears away the confusion.
