    Well Best is better than any striker we have now, apart from Ba, so he's the last one we should be selling.

    He scored the same amount of goals Lover and Shola got in less than half the games.

    Howay mate. I'm not saying Best is a great striker, but he's proven he can score goals. A good back up striker, a decent starter.

    He scored goals yes, fair enough, 3 in one game I must stress. His heart is in the right place, and until we get someone better he has to stay, but I pray that isn't too long.

    3 in one game, yes, but that means he scored in 4 of his 10 games, which is still good, and he could have had a lot more if a simple pass was provided to him. He gets in good positions and sometimes people don't see him. Best has been quite unlucky.

    If Enrique had have played 2 yard pass to him in the derby game as the SoS, then Best was free on goal and could have scored.

    True, but I just can't see much in him to help us progress to the next level. I really hope he proves me wrong if given the chance.

    It is always good to have comments from posters from other boards, one of the downsides to not606 is a distinct lack of this apart from the odd wums. There are a few members of the Sunderland forum who are decent posters and can spark a decent debate.

    I pretty much agree with everything except I doubt the players you listed will leave. I hope we do spend on squad depth but as you say there is still a lot of time and hopefully we are waiting for the right players instead of buying for he sake of it, which cold be why we haven't spent all the money yet.

    42 goals in 169 games, Coventry fans laughed all the way to the bank like Forest fans did with the Perch money, poor control in my opinion, looked dreadful when he played in the Championship and in those 10 games that people keep banging on about with his 6 in 10 record (though 3 were in 1 match against the ****test defence I have ever witnessed) for 5 or 6 of them games he was poor at best. Can't play as a lone striker as can't hold the ball up as well (even Shola is better at this then him)

    All we had at the start of last season was 'same team that went down' 'Championship players' '6 easy points'

    Look what happened. Anyone can cross examine any team but did you honestly see us battering you 5-1 at the start of last season?

    Did you see your team turning Chelsea over 3-0 in London with your awful away record prior to that game?

    Lets just see how it pans out instead of the 'My house is bigger than yours' argument!
