Personally I'd rather him not go out on loan. We only have three out and out strikers. I think he should be on the bench. We two centre halfs on the bench on Saturday and no strikers.
Not a bad move providing City have a recall clause - I think he has the makings of a very decent player but desperately needs games to sharpen him up.
I'd rather Aluko went out on loan, he needs more game time than anyone plus he'll be on more money than Sagbo.
It's an emergency loan, all emergency loans can be recalled at any point after the first 28 days. Good move, he's not playing here and sitting on his arse ain't doing him any good, could see him having a good run in the championship and returning brimming with confidence.
Sagbo just retweeted this... Daniel Lothian ‏@DanLothian @Sagboyannick20 Bonne chance avec Wolves!
LOAN: @Sagboyannick20 has joined Championship side @OfficialWolves on loan until January #UTT confirmed by City now
I agree he would have been a better substitute at Newcastle for Jelly, takes pressure off the defence by holding the ball well.
I suspect it suggests that Brucie thinks he's happier with having some of the other attacking options on the bench. I'd have to say I agree, as I don't see the hold up play from him that others seem to. Never seems to win a header and is always out wide rather than offering an outlet down the middle. For me is another in the ilk of Altidore and a few others that appear to have all of the attributes but don't seem to be able to get the best out of them.
Since the summer we have let go 4 out and out strikers, admittedly of varying quality (Long, Fryatt, Proschwitz, Sagbo) and brought in one (Hernandez). The fact that SB is starting with Hernandez and Jelavic suggests he wants to play with 2 strikers, yet now we have no back up even to put on the bench. Meanwhile, having brought in 3 attacking midfield players on deadline day, we now seem to have 7 broadly competing for one position (Diame, Quinn, Ince , Aluko, Brady, Ramirez, Ben Arfa). I say this because Huddlestone, Livermore and Elmo seem to be inked in... In Brucey we trust and all that, but personally I have no idea what the strategy is at the moment.
To me it suggests that SB is probably not intending on playing with two out and out strikers all of the time and may well opt to play one of the attacking midfielders behind a lone striker in certain matches at least.
Wage bill top heavy. They've indicated they want players out on loan. Liked him last season. Didn't score enough but works hard. Was different class against Liverpool.
Sagbo is one of these 'almost' players, ones who you think could make the grade but invariably come up a bit short. Even at Evian in France he was never a goal poacher
