Pardew will be gone. Not yet, because I expect Ashley to save face after saying it was a joke, but soon.

Do you need to be confrontational? <laugh>

I am not taking the piss, at all, obviously. 5 in 29 is shocking, as a premier league average, but look at the squad. Look at it man. Nobody can tell me he's got a great team to use!!!

I also don't need to do any research, I'm on here posting every game, I haven't missed one, more's the pity <ok>

Honestly, some of you need to chill out. Pards will go, and we'll get some other average hack in, who'll do averagely with this awful paper thin squad as well.

For me, at least Pardew has at some point listened to the fans and tried to change things, and we do attack more than other seasons, we just have absolutely no quality in the final third. Not his fault... It's like blaming the shooter for pulling the trigger and finding some idiot has replaced his aerodynamically shaped bullet has been replaced by a bit of moldy cheese.

It would also help if we didn't miss absolute sitters.

If he doesn't sack him now, we will lose to Swansea so he can sack him then. Have no illusions, Stoke really weren't that great, almost as bad as us - Swansea will tear our f**ing throats out.

We need a lift from somewhere and that has to be a new manager. Too much of a malaise going on. Fresh ideas are needed, not just some **** shouting 'Keep your shape!' over and over again.

Malaise is right. I'm struggling to care. Couple of weeks ago I was so angry I had to see Pardew go. He didn't. My apathy has set in nicely now for Mike, so if he goes now I'll be interested, but if he doesn't I'll remain unsurprised.

This. We'd have been partly celebrating a pretty decent point if we'd scored that. Stoke is usually a tough place to go.

We got lucky on Gouffran's challenge (defo a pen), and Arnie striking the post, but other than that, we were the ones looking to play football. I thought Tiote was really good again, and Sissoko was a bit better than usual, but we lacked a player with guile. Cabella (useless) finally came off, and Sammy showed some pace to attack them. Obertan was alright. Still can't cross to save himself, but those low-skidders are more useful against a massive team like Stoke who we'll never dominate aerially.

Got to say, the Willo interview was worse than Pardew. Said of Stoke "they've got quality all over the pitch". Like Glenn Whelan and Phil Bardsley, I suppose? (no disrespect, Stoke fans, you're better than our shower)

'That's it sack the c**t, I'm away for a pint' doesn't look to far off.

Rolando, did Willo just say that? He was as s**t as anyone, a f**ing carthorse on his way to the knackers yard.

Pardew: ''We've got to fight. I'm a professional football manager that's what I do & thats what I'll continue to do''

**** off Alan you chancer, bottom feeding ****.

Really disheartens me to see Newcastle in such dire straights, being a Saints fan of a Geordie father, I was always bantering with him, but newcastle always finished above us. So I have a soft spot for you guys. Your club and fans deserve better than the owner you have. Strange Pardew appeared to be a decent manger for us?

Pardew picks a guy up front who clearly can't hold the forward line, and plays him on his own. Cabella is having a torrid time and in need of the subs bench at best - maybe he's finding the pace of this league is taking some getting used to.

But Pardew picks the side, and they had zip all up front. He's certainly complicit in the club's lack of proper investment.

And finally, when Ameobi and Obertan come on near the end, and create more half chances than the off-form players they replaced, it tells us that Pardew simply cannot get the starting 11 tactically correct.

He'll keep his job, at least for now.

He did, I'm afraid. Slightly weird that the captain isn't out there. It's no wonder "players" like Willo are "behind the manager" - he shouldn't even be in the Premier League.

The clogger stands by his meal ticket. Common sense really, can't blame him but if this s**t continues we are in massive trouble. TBH we are there already. Something has to give and I'm afraid it must be the dawn firing squad for this chancer. It must, no NEEDS to happen asap.

He has to go but I'm not sure we were that bad tonight. If Colbacks went in it would of benn a deserved point In my opinion. We did have a lot of the ball and we did push on.As for Stoke bang average IMO.yes the pen and hitting the post but they are well off being a good team.We need a new man before it to late with new ideas and organization.
He will get the Swansea game and one more home game to pull it off but by then we will be cut adrift. Its only just turning October so this can be turned around but fatty has to act now before its Xmas and we are rock bottom.Tbh I'm running out of ideas and hope.

I think we are all running out of hope mate. I didn't get pissed off during the game, I just had a horrible feeling of apathy throughout.

I'm not even playing devil's advocate anymore. People have made their mind up about Pardew's abilities, whether rightly or wrongly, and will just beat him with whatever is to hand...

But in my opinion, all those points are unfair.

    1. Every manager in the league is playing one up-front at the moment. It's the vogue, and we were playing well around Riviere. Riviere is f***ing useless, but Cisse isn't fully fit, Perez is lightweight, and the other lad is injured for a while as well. There is nobody else.

    2. Cabella is absolute ****, but anybody who tells me they'd pick Sammy or Obertan in the starting line-up is a liar. We've spunked a lot of our money on Cabella, and there's pressure to play him, certainly, as much as I don't rate him, I'd have trouble dropping him. The other players are equally as ****e. It's like Russian roulette... but all the chambers have a bullet in them.

    3. That's the most unfair criticism of all... Pardew is in the job of his life-time. He's an average manager, there's no up from here. He would be complicit if Ashley did a turd on his desk every day. I would too, if I were manager of our club. It's his dream come true, and I for one don't judge him for that. If he says out, he'd get booted like Hughton.
