Well, you live and learn - that's terrific and I never knew it was there. You need your mind in crossword mode to register the subtitles, don't you?

    Thank you.

Tbf Vin that was the first time I'd come across it too. I just happened to pass the mouse over the icon. The rest was working it out and I'm not the world's fastest there.

MOTD2 they showed the minimum they could possibly show and said nothing about us at all, 10 minutes of waffle about Rooney took up most of the time, BBC really do like to take the P.

Yep, it didn't go unnoticed by me either. They talked the same waffle, about the same subject, as they did on MOTD1. All we get about Southampton is... oh well, we predicted them to go down but they're doing so much better than we thought, yada yada.

OK, explain to the nation how and why this is happening and get it over and done with, because I for one, am getting fed up with listening as to how many pundits admit they got it wrong. As if that is the only subject that can be attributed to Southampton FC. That, and two fantastic goals scored, v QPR.

Every match report seems to start with the summer exodus & a list of player names.......its getting boring now, they need to move on. Its nearly October, lets see some relevance now from the media please.

I suppose they are prefacing their articles to remind the football nation. However, most football supporters are already clued up, but they keep on with the same preface.

What football supporters generally don't know about is Pelle, Tadic, Mane, Gardos, Alderweireld, etc... Who are these players..? Why the hell have they been under the radar for so long, especially Pelle, who is 29. How and why have Saints been able to sign players of this quality right from under the noses of everyone else..? How have they all fitted in like they've been playing here for seasons..? That's the new and relevant story.

One for you to write DTLW. Get the jump on everybody else. :)

The Sun report mentioned the booing of Pelle at the WBA game...damn, I hoped no one had noticed that shameful incident...booing a new player without giving him a chance or in fact booing a Saints player full stop.

Glad someone has picked up on BBC coverage ,I was thinking of making a separate thread re this but seeing these comments I can just agree hole heartedly , we are being treated as if we are some little upstart that will get its comeuppance sooner rather than later , I noted at beginning of season we were only scheduled 3 games on sky up till xmas the lowest along with Two others so all the media outlets are of the same mentality , oh well F##k them , mind you don't think NC attitude helped in the past

Me too. Let them wax lyrical about the others. I see how well we've done and happy to just keep doing it for as long as we can.

he has bettered Shaws record of assists and goal in 5 games. People said his main failing is he is a bit lightweight, but as Clyne has shown, size is not so important to a fullback these days. I was one that thought he was bought in just see Targett progress and then released after his year. Now I will be really pissed if we do not sign him next summer. Love how he went to Cork who was warming up and celebrated his goal with him.
