On a more serious note the suggestion is games in the Middle East. The Utd players will be more knackered than playing in a competitive match with all that travelling. It will wipe out any advantage they have in the Prem with not having Europe. Suppose the Galziers do not want to see their investments sitting about and recharging their batteries, when they could be out getting injured in meaningless friendlies.

When they say lucrative friendlies who do they mean? No CL or EL teams will be available. I doubt it will be PL teams. Lower league teams and lower top flight foreign teams will fill a stadium.
