Seems to have some good experience without ever being No1. He's worked under some good managers too and has international experience.

He will always manage to do better than Garcia's record which reads. P1 W0 D0 L1!

What do you all think on McBilly? Is he first team coach or all over manager? It could mean a change in structure from the Pozzos...

The record books will show him with a 25% win record - during his time - one win two draws and one defeat :)

Not how I see it really, the other games his assistants were in charge.

    Anyways, isn't this strange?

    from this article

Hornets’ chief exceutive Scott Duxbury added: "Everyone feels it is important that there is continuity in the coaching structure. Ruben Martinez and Javier Pereira will therefore continue as Billy McKinlay’s assistants. "We appreciate Oscar’s candour in placing the best interest of Watford FC ahead of his own personal thoughts and we wish him well for his future in football."

So Garcias old staff are staying and McKinlay has to work with them! Continuity - hahaahahahahha! <yikes>

"In Billy McKinlay, we have someone with the qualities and significant experience to build further on the foundations already laid for a successful season ahead."
Jesus, let's hope so, we've had some stupid upheaval recently, which can't help on the pitch!

I agree with that but it's all rather exciting in its own way. Can't wait to see how the players react tomorrow.

I would imagine that Garcia's staff are staying because Garcia himself is not going back into management anytime soon. TBH I find this whole thing, Sannino forced into resigning through player power, Garcia's health and now managed by a complete unknown pretty crap........ and if we don't get 6 points from the next two games then the writings on the wall for how the rest of the season will go

I can't help musing on the fact that the Leeds owner has a reputation for getting through head coaches (or melons, as he chooses to describe them) quickly, and we are proving to be better than them even at that.

So Billy McKinlay is to be coach. Well done the Pozzos, returning to the recent examples of promoting from within. OK so BM has not been here as long as Malky Mackay or Sean Dyche, but at least he was a member of staff for a few days before his promotion.
