i would rather the ball got turned over 40 yards up , coz it got turned over 10 yards out instead .

    possession does not build pressure.

    Pressure builds pressure.

TOO much emphasis on possession actually dulls any attack .

Its too slow and their defence is ALWAYS back in its shape and waiting.

we would have kept it, had Flamini not been brushed off the ball by that powerful midfield enforcer Eriksen.

I actually think that Mertesacker should shoulder some of the responsibilty for that goal too. He was facing up the pitch and must have seen that Eriksen was ready to pounce on that forward pass to Flamini. It was **** control and weak play from Flamini, but Mert could have found a player who wasn't about to be pressed.

I know that goal can be full of **** at times but this is an interesting article

    http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...-style?CMPID=FBUK_140929_sanchezspecialreport

Basically it claims that Wenger has opted for Ox over Sanchez because Sanchez has been slowing down the play and not passing quickly enough. This dispels the myth that Wenger is going out to tell his players to slow it down and actually wants them to speed up the play. The article goes on to say that it's just a matter of training ground discussions to get Sanchez playing the way Wenger wants.

I also think that with Walcott in the team it will encourage players like Sanchez to speed his play up too.

To be fair, it usually takes a while for players from other leagues to get used to the pace of the prem.
