Don't think we have had a favourite cheese thread...

So what is your favourite cheese? Do you even have a favourite? Or do you just love the cheese..

On crackers, grilled cheese sandwich? Do you have a favourite condiment to go with your cheese?

Mine would be stinking bishop on a salted cracker with chille jam..

In the absence of stinking bishop a good Brie is very acceptable..

Blacksticks blue would be my second favourite.

    Roquefort is my most favourite.

With Laughing Cow coming a very close second.

    Great thread by the by.

Being diabetic means I have to tread Caerphilly when it comes to cheese.

Love a Blacksticks at Christmas. Same with Stilton. Perl Las is excellent too.

For common or garden every day cheese got to say a decent mature cheddar, a Lancashire and a camembert will do. Much prefer Camembert to Brie.

Try cheddar on a salty cracker with a slice of pickled walnut. You'll never go back.

Another cheese tip; in a home made roast tomato soup, or similar, instead of bread croutons use dry fried diced Haloumi as croutons.

    I f**ing love cheese.

    <ok>

I like chutney with my cheeses.

If out for a meal I always have the cheeseboard.

Not a fan of sweet things.

I have loads of cheese in the fridge. May pick up some crackers on the way home.

    I like cheese, me.

You're right, cannot stand any cheese with bits of fruit through it.

I find liking Camembert over Brie quite controversial.

Although I like Camembert I find Brie has more flavour and is smellier. Which I think is integral to cheese. The smellier the better.

I have a Camembert in the fridge, I plan on baking the **** out of it, with cloves of garlic wedged in it, drizzled with honey. Then dip breadsticks in the little fella.

Camembert is more prevalent in western France where we've been on holidays for the last couple of years. I've just grown to prefer it.

I've developed a taste for goats cheese too. I made this goats cheese and chorizo risotto, was f**ing unbelievable. It's good stuffed in chicken or in roast veg too.

Not chevre, that's a bit too strong in flavour. Just the milder stuff.

It would be interesting to know what famous celebrities cheeses are.

I reckon Andy Murray's would be emmental.

With you on the goats cheese..

I bought breaded goats cheese yesterday which I will deep fry and have with cranberry sauce. Went shopping with a hangover and bought loads of cheese. Got haloumi too. Which I thought of dipping in egg then coating in Panko breadcrumbs and fry the **** out it.

    Never actually tried goats cheese.

Gorgonzola - now there's a stinky cheese, lovely.

Is Gorgonzola a bit like Roquefort? I'm sure I've eaten it in Spain.
