They then led Liverpool 3-0 at home on matchday six only for the Reds to earn a 3-3 draw with a second-half fightback. Steven Gerrard played in both games but was substituted at half-time in Basel. • For Liverpool, the 3-3 result was not enough – Basel still pipped them to second place in the group by a point. Match background Basel • Including matches in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, Basel had a strong home record in Europe in 2013/14: W5 D2 L1. • They beat Chelsea FC away (2-1) and at home (1-0) in last season's UEFA Champions League group stage. • Their overall home record against English teams is W4 D3 L4. Liverpool • Won their opening Group B fixture 2-1 against PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, their first UEFA Champions League fixture since December 2009. • They prevailed 5-3 at BSC Young Boys on their last trip to Switzerland in the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League group stage. • Have never failed to score in Switzerland, totalling 14 goals over five games. • The Reds' overall record in Switzerland reads W3 D1 L1. The solitary defeat was a 2-1 loss at Servette FC in the 1971/72 European Cup Winners' Cup first round; even then they won 3-2 on aggregate. So LFC's second game in the champions league is a tough away game against Switzerland's biggest football team, FC Basel. Liverpool will try to build on their hard-fought win over Bulgarian CL newbies PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, whereas Basel will look to improve upon the 5-1 away reaming at the hands of Group B favourites Real Madrid. Daniel Sturridge is rumoured to be fit enough to take part in this match, though whether he will start or come on as a substitute later on in the game is yet to be seen. Regardless, Reds fans will be looking forward to seeing him playing again after goals have been hard to come by during his absence due to a thigh injury. Teams will be confirmed closer to KO. Get a win here and we will have a good chance of qualifying, yes it may well be a bit early to say that but I think it will put us in a strong position as I don't see RM dropping many points home or away.
Title of the thread should read who the game is against and its 7:45 not 8:45 kick off (unless your claiming local time in Swizerland) 5/10 for effort But annoyed going to miss the game as going for after work drinks on Wednesday. Unless the bar is showing football might leave a bit earlier n try catch 2nd half. Could do with a win but a draw would put us 4 points clear of them having got the away leg out the way

I added a table for the teams as the text wasn't staying in the correct format. I've never done a table before. It's a pain in the arse! Too much C&P'ing. But, you live and learn.
It's trial and error, really. If you want to do one in the future, just PM me and I'll sent you a CCC's (Idiot's) guide.
Do one for the predictioo league and a right pain. That's the worse but a out doing it as it's the only manual bit (apart from adding in the actual scores)
Who are you going to merge with? This is probably the biggest fixture for us of this group. Realistically- Basel prob favourites to beat Ludo at home- and Real are probably going to stuff us the way we've been this season. Basel home and away will probably decide 2nd. Who goes to the knockouts- and who fights with Ludo for UEFA Cup placement. A win away will put us in a good position. Switzerland; which is a good position to enjoy the alps and yodeling women with low cut dresses and long braided hair.
No as its done on time. Your **** one got posted first If you had bot created a new one you could have just edited the op (in fact you still can, just copy n paste the neter one into op, let me know when done and I'll delete the duplicate message in oust 3 or 4)
They're a pain I can still change my 2nd lot of games predictions before ko cant I? Also the neutral game you choose are they the exact same for point scoring wise minus the named goal scorer?
