An alternative angle on the monster truck that killed them people yesterday. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0c5_1411939629
What a stupid thing to stand so close to, to be fair. I go to a lot of motorsport and often the marshalls tell people to move from the spot they're standing in as it's on the outside of a fast/wet bend. One guy refused to move in Isle of Man and got completely knocked out cold by having to jump out of the way of a MK2 Escort and hitting his head on a concrete drain cover when he slipped.
Same when I went to Kielder - Marshalls tell you these things for a reason - I stood on the straights and watched the cars go into the corners - but people stand far too close. Interesting on the OP video, It looks like the driver simply hit the wrong pedal or had it in the wrong gear. It landed then just took off towards the crowd
He probably just had stupid big yank feet! Same mate, at the Malcolm Wilson back in March in Wythop the fast bend seen about 6 cars on their lids, but there was a kid in an orange jacket wouldn't move off that corner cos he wanted to get the 'good pictures' I don't understand people who risk their lives for a picture of a car.
His car is surrounded by about 300 people in 30 seconds, what a plum he must have felt. Chances are his insurance company will have told him to get to **** as well.
I doubt he will have told his insurers there was a video of the crash. But then again he was clearly a numpty, hahaha The monster truck one, I can see the driver, organisers and whoever licensed the event being sued to high heaven. And rightly so, there was no room for the slightest error, it was practically inevitable this would happen.
