Must have been more serious than letting on http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/140929-oscar-garcia-billy-mckinlay-watford-fc-1976811.aspx
Sounds to me like he's had a breakdown, consistent with how he left Israel, best thing for him is to get on a decent beach with a few hot females and chill for a few months, a good cure all...
Sorry for him but he is sensible - health is the most important thing and it is right he puts that above all else. I wish him all the best.
Great shame - I wish him all the best - obviously the right thing. Shankly was wrong. BTW I believe that this is the first time that we've had 3 Managers (Head Coaches) in one season (well 1 month actually). We did have 3 managers in the calendar year 1990 (Harrison, Lee & Perryman) but that was spread over 2 seasons.
Completely messes the BBC up - we're first on Saturday night's FL Show because it was supposed to be that Garcia would be facing Brighton for the first time. Interesting that the Pozzos allowed him to appoint his own successor, you only have to look at Man U last season to see how that can go wrong. As has been said above, his health is the most important thing.
If its a tempoary appoinment until OG is ready to returen I can see it, but longer term I can't see how it will work. The new guy has always got a ready made excuse if things don't go to plan!!!
It's all a bit unclear whether this is supposed to be temporary or not. A quote from Garcia on SSN implies he may return, but the official site doesn't mention this. Anyone know much about McKinlay as a coach/manager? Wiki has only really got him in coaching roles and not being no1 at clubs...
BBC say McKinlay has never had the head role at a club. Is he just another stop-gap until the end of the season though? I support having some British nouse in the dugout, but I hope Garcia's sidekicks remain to support him. Who knows, we have a good record with first time managers!
As I've read it, McKinlay is here to stay and Garcia knew that on Saturday. All very odd and I was looking forward with high hopes to Garcia's reign but onwards and upwards, good luck Billy! COYH
I found this article touted on another site. The Beppe comments are now quite ironic. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ttle-to-return-9023250.html?COLLCC=941411323&
Interesting and ironic! And is it a coincidence that since he left Fulham they've nose dived? their loss could well be our gain!
