If we got to the Europa, surely a good step would be to play the U21s. Bucketloads of experience for them and minimal disruption.

Not that easy to undo 50 odd years of conditioning plus my in-built pessimism. I've always said that I can live with the despair but ultimately its the hope that kills!

Of course, one thing that would help my 'condition' would be beating Spurs.

I think we're all a bit frightened of the Europa League. The experience of playing at that level of quality could be invaluable to the players. If we do fairly well in the competition, the winning momentum should carry over into the league and other cups. Success breeds success. I would be very happy to see us in it and if managed correctly, playing European football should be beneficial to next year's (let's hope!) campaign.

We have the confidence and the weeks rest and preparation. They have 2 games to prepare with a side that hasn't exactly had a consistent start. Koeman has proved he can change a game. Something that Pochettino really only did against Notts Forest last week since coming to English football. I expect a draw at halftime with Saints coming out of the gate in the second half.

Forgot Spurs play Thursday - I'm changing my prediction from a draw to a Saints win now!

The only issue is that in our little fan bubble some think Saints are gonna dig right in and how we're gonna slam the betraying Poch. Yet they forget the players themselves had a very good relationship and the players that came in wont really care.

That being said this is the game I've wanted to win most so far this season.

As in care about the fact they are playing the manager that just left the team. Not that they wont care in general of course they will.

    How can you say that?
The players asked for no day off after Arsenal as they wanted to be 100% for qpr so why would they not care about spuds.
They want to go there and win make no mistake about that. They may not succeed but it will not be for the want of trying.
Last year only Bale denied them coming away with something. This time I think will be different --------I hope!

It was Sigurdsson with the late winner last season. Bale was the season before (albeit, calendar wise, yes it was last year).

I don't think anyone thinks they don't care...Deserana is suggesting that there won't be the angry edge that the fans are bringing to the game. However, I will suggest that it is only natural that the players from last season will feel they have something to prove.

Exactly! Of course they'll care. They should care about every game. My point is fans will be going into this game thinking "Yes! Time to get one over on Poch" but the players wont be. Not because they're being professional but because simply they either had a great connection with him or they weren't even in the side. They'll just go into it like any other game. There wont be this extra eagerness to win (because we're playing Poch) that maybe some fans will expect.

Ron's a clever guy, he'll know what it means. But it won't alter his approach. Three ex managers in 4 games, who knew. Lets hope its perfect.

Schneiderlin really wants to be scoring in this game.

I asked because I counted four. We got a bonus with QPR.

Indeed. And an ex player in Monks. Hey & no ex players have scored against us, but then, not many have actually scored against anyway. Loving it.

Wenger says we are a top side...a top side should beat Spurs :) Joking aside...how far have we come that we can see a result against almost everyone?

The winning run has to end sometime but no reason why it should be Spurs.
