Seriously ... this thread exists and is apparently fine, but my anti-racism comments get deleted?

What the **** is wrong with this board?

Silly me, I should only create rose tinted threads about how everything at Arsenal is great.

Yes silly me, 1 win in 6 is FANTASTIC and a real sign of improvement.

I think everyone is a little disappointed at some of the points dropped so far but also recognise we aren't in a terrible position and it's still very very early in the season and far too soon to be writing the season off as a failure. There's a big difference between being able to recognise the positives in a bad situation and being overly joyed at the situation.

Your incredibly emotional and that clouds any sort of logical analysis from happening, as soon as something goes wrong you decide it's the end of the world, nothing can change, the season is over, we'll never win anything ever again. And you get so angry that you can't bare it if everyone doesn't share in your depressive ranting.

I don't think I've seen anyone who has an overly positive view of the current situation but most also aren't particularly negative. We haven't had any terrible results so far despite some very disappointing draws, we are ahead of Everton, spurs and utd, a point behind city and six behind Chelsea. We've already played Everton, spurs and city in our first six games and there is still a long way to go until the end of the season.

We're 6 behind Chelski but can easily be 9 points next week and then that's that for the league.

You have a bizarre definition of "Proof".

    1. There is a huge difference from being optimistic that we can turn things around and catch Chelsea, due to an opinion of what is happening on the pitch, and being happy with 4th place at the end of the season.
    2. No one is saying that they are "Happy" with our position now. It just isn't the end of the world, or the end of the league.

This is neither factually, nor even statistically correct. Many teams have been 9 points behind the leaders at this stage of the season and gone on to win.

That's the only bit of that post you had an answer for? <laugh>

And even then your logic is clouded by anger. We could be 9 points behind, we could also be 3 or 6 points behind after playing them.

And we can even go further, "that's that for the league" is a ridiculous comment, we've seen multiple times how a gap like 9 points can be overcome over the course of the season. Given it's still September it's nonsense to declare Chelsea title winners and us out of the running after 6 games. Totally ridiculous.

For the record I said before the season started that I think Chelsea will win the league this season and still think they will.

You dreaming if u think we'll catch Chelski with 9 pts below them, that gap will only increase, not decrease. There's nothing at all to indicate we're good enough to stay neck and neck with Chelski this season other than ur blind hope, based on the games we played so far what indications are there that we're any good to compete for the title? All indications currently show we're only good enough to compete for the top 4.

And take this to the bank, after next week we won't be 3 points behind them, and even 6 is still too much, but that won't happen either, it's gonna be 9 and done and dusted for the league.

This is the problem you lot keep thinking we're elite, and say 9 points isn't the end of the world, you don't realise the 9 points is an indication of how far behind Chelski we are, rather you look and say we're Arsenal and other teams have done it, yes other TOP QUALITY teams have done it, we're just a good top 4-3 team, not a super top quality team.

This is what's funny, you lot wanna have your cake and eat it, play the game of pretending we're elite, yet constantly come up with drivel when we underachieve....Fail to win big games and you lot go on about OH IT WAS A GOOD POINT, OH WE'RE UNBEATEN, if any of you had serious ambition of being real title contenders nobody says OH WOW DRAWING AT HOME TO A TITLE RIVAL IN CITY when we should have won at home was a GOOD POINT AND AN IMPROVEMENT, what the **** is that about? Drawing at home to a rival is a good point and an improvement?!!!!! And you lot think we're genuine title contenders who can make up 9 points on Chelski? LOL **** me and you wonder why I get so irritated.

We can't even string 2 wins together and you guys going on about how OH MAKING UP 9 POINTS IS VERY POSSIBLE, let's even get 6 out 6 ****ing points first before talking about making 9 points on Chelsea. You guys do really live in fantasy land.

Absolutely! 9 points at this point is not insurmountable.

1997-98 we overtook Manchester United after being 13 points behind in December.

Problem is, if we do not have guys like Arsenal87, then this place would be dead. At least he bothers to create threads and get his points across, granted the way he expresses his view is not great but it's better than having a tumbleweed blow across this forum.
