And people are surprised that match threads are quiet after a loss or a draw. What do people expect if based on a game where we outplayed a team for 90 minutes and the 3 points looked guaranteed until some guy randomly scores a world class goal which he'd never be able to replicate even in training there are posters saying that our manager has been found out??

We know they are only wums but it still takes time & effort to read through the thread to find the proper opinions of Liverpool fans, so not many bother to look at the threads after losses because we know we have to read what stupid people like Tobes & Shteve are saying.

Just because you disagree or don't want to believe it, doesn't make it wrong.

It was because the Everton fans were giving it plenty throughout the game about his slip - the way to shut them up was to score, which he did. I don't like the gesture either but in 'context' it made sense yesterday.

Its hard to agree or believe someone who's had to make a new account to attempt to distance himself from the embarrassing opinions he's had over the years on his old account.

That's why nobody takes you seriously.

Its weird because I watched Arsenal v Spurs and when Chadli scored done the same thing as Gerrard and got booked, is this a new rule and if it is why didn't Gerrard get booked. Weird

PS. Forget that just found out it was at his own fans but same question is this a new rule then???

Given United's fixture list Liverpool have had a better start. And that's saying something.

I didn't know that, just checked it out, Chadli did the 'shush' and the ear cupping thing and got booked, bit strange because players are doing it all the time. I really don't like it and would be happy for it to be bookable. Gerrard's gesture yesterday was in answer to the slip up songs he'd had sung all game, so as I said, it was sort of fitting in those circumstances but the goal was enough without that particular gesture. Isn't it just another example though of the inconsistency in refereeing that we see every week? It's either bookable or it isn't, there must be clear guidelines like the shirt removal celebration.

An Evertonian giving it loads because they managed to escape with a point because of a wonder strike, and a Clog-Sparker crowing that they're one point ahead after six games and having spent £200m and not playing one of last season's top six teams yet. We have regressed, no doubt about it, but Rogers, who took a team fro seventh to within two points of the league and was k as generally accepted to have the team playing the 'best' football in the league, is a 'fraud'? Oh **** off. If he pissed as much money up the wall as United have (£35m for Shaw?) or turned on of the best defences in the league to a laughing stock as Martinez has done I'd be truly worried.

We were always going to miss Suarez (no wonder the press, FA and opposition fans wanted him gone) , and it would never be a quick fix replacing him. Balotelli is a 'cheap' talisman. Markovic looks (I hope to be proved wrong) as an expensive mistake. But the guy we really wanted wished to go to London, Falcao is way, way out of our price league and probably won't give more than a season anyway, and the rest just wouldn't replace Luis. need patience and to accept top four is an extremely difficult ask thia season. Still think we can say Markovic is pants and Lovren no better than Sakho though.

Gerrard did get booked though, and the commentators didn't seem to know what for. I'd guess that explains it, if there is some sort of new rule.

Yep I 100% agree with this. The fixtures Manchester United have had so far have been kind. They should really be on about 12-15 points by now. All 6 of their opening games have been games that United would fancy themselves in.

I know I haven't heard anything about getting booked for this, if players are going to get booked for putting their hands to their ears they have to bloody tell them.

Gerrard's booking was for a foul about 3 minutes after the goal.

Outplayed us for 90 minutes? Oh do **** off

You scored from a set piece that should never have been awarded and besides that Howard only made one save of real note. Up front you were mince and Bellotelli couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

The point about Rodgers wasn't based on yesterday's game anyway, you clueless beaut

Helps when the ref doesn't send off Barry or give the penalty

What about your #fraud manager? Moyes' defensive training sticks in Everton's mind for most of the first season and then a complete defensive collapse since. Shameful record.

We joked about you spending all that money to stand still. You wish you could stand still. And with Barry and Eto'o you aren't even building for the future or paying for potential.

Your only hope for improvement is Lukaku suddenly becoming a top player and he won't do that when being played out of position #tacticalfraud

The usual bilge from the forum clown

Barry was lucky to not get sent off for the handball, but if the referee and his assistant had done their jobs right a minute or so earlier and correctly awarded a penalty for Moreno's foul on Lukaku, the other incident woundnt have happened - butterfly effect.

So Moyes takes the credit for last seasons Everton side? Even by your standards that's an absolute Joke of a comment.

£230m to achieve the square root of **** all, that's what I call fraud lad.

Under Moyes you were solid. Moyes (plus the record spending on Lukaku) would have you in a far better position than Martinez.

So getting back into the CL and challenging until the last day for the PL was what everyone started the season thinking Liverpool would do? #bitterrevisionism

Gotta give credit to Moyes. I think he's just underrated.

What about the dive for the free kick Gerrard scored from or is that irrelevant?

Moyes deserved a shot at a big club. He never got it and now both his recent clubs are doing far worse without him.

The grass might be greener and the face less dour but there are far fewer points on the board.
