I'm not going either way here because I don't know, as none of you do. When two buildings like that collapse, then there is a huge volume of dust and crap (not necessarily toxins) getting inside someone's body. The human body isn't designed to withstand that.
I really don't know what "too much of a coincidence" means here. Are you saying that there are more incidences of cancer in rescuers at the WTC than amongst a comparable group (age/sex/occupation) of non-helpers? Are these "facts" or "internet facts"? Where's the data? Someone saying something on the internet does not make it true. As I said earlier, if thousands of people do anything (such as attend today's game against QPR) a large number of them will be dying thirteen years later. It doesn't mean one causes the other. Air full of "toxins" (everything's toxic in quantity) ≠ causes increase in cancer victims. As for a conspiracy between the medical establishment and ... er.... someone undefined who will pay out possibly if a link's proven, I really can't think of a single instance where doctors have covered evidence up on behalf of someone outside the medical establishment. There may be many but I genuinely can't think of one. I'll agree that medicos have covered one another's backs but really, I can't remember any where they covered up for someone else. There's just too much glory in finding something publishable for a link not to come out. Then again, there are so many conspiracies to do with the Sept 11th attacks that one more might as well be thrown into the mix for good measure. Vin
Man buys buildings, insures them then claims as much money as he can on the insurance policy when they are destroyed, shock, horror! **Edit: Just noticed that it was "fortuitous" that he insured against terrorism. The building had been damaged once by terrorists so it would be a madman who didn't insure against something like that. Still, "fortuitous" is a good choice of language to make it sound much more suspicious rather than a just sensible decision when insuring buildings worth billion of dollars** All that does is show how desperate people are for a conspiracy, somewhere, about something. I always reach for my gun when anyone mentions conspiracy theories. The world generally is not full of heartless business masterminds (that's in the movies), but is full of human beings who make mistakes and have accidents and are sometimes the victims of evil. A group of Islamists, who care nothing for anybody else and very little for their own people, saw an opportunity to inflict death and mayhem on an undefended city going about its business. Things are usually what they seem.
You can't rule it out tho can you? In your opinion all that crap in the air did nothing to the people breathing it in. But other people can see breathing in **** like concrete dust can't be good for the human body. We will both never know who is right or wrong but at least try and see it from both views. You seem to try and **** people down from having a different view then you.
99% of conspiracy theories are crap. But yet the world is run by cold hearted business people, there is plenty of stuff we will never know or kept from the general public. I had to sign 2 NDA's in my life already from my time working already (last job). Yes there is plenty kept from us which we will never know, but that doesn't mean everything is a conspiracy. In the end everything is a opinion to proved beyond doubt anyways.

What I said was that there's no proof that is causes cancer. Deal with what I said, not with your straw man. Why should I see it from both views? If you tell me you've read on the internet that there's a green teapot in space beyond the orbit of Mars, am I expected to say "well, it's a valid view"? Of course not. If the facts show that there is a statistically significant causal link ref the WTC, I'll agree. Until then, it's unproven, along with millions upon millions of other hypotheses. Just because someone says something on the internet, it does not become the truth, no matter how much you want it to be.
