Phil Neville thought QPR deserved a point from the game, erh, what? We hit the post 3 times, and had 9 shots on target. Don't know what game he was watching!
Probably a few highlights. I thought QPR made a lie of their past few games though. They tried very hard. But not good enough.
Not to mention that QPR only had 2 shots on target and one of those was the goal. No mention (of course) that Rob Green had a blinder for them and that in the first half all they wanted to do was get behind the ball and frustrate us. If we'd won that one 5-1 it would have been justified. But I'll take the 3 points and another 3 at White Hart Lane next week, please guys!!
Thought Shaw looked totally out of his depth today. Out of position on 3 or 4 occasions, could easily have cost his team one or two goals. Doubt Louis will be very happy with him
Exactly, but that wasn't mentioned - the fact that Chambers and Chamberlain knew each other from Saints.
Indeed. BTW, why all the analysis when our game featured more quality..? So they looked at two goals and commented. How about some analysis of how we beat teams then..? Too much to ask for..? Ah, just remembered. They don't play real football south of London
Well said that man .............. as was the tip that Austin would score against us. Should have had him in my fantasy team
Oh yes, I did say that about Austin. Good job it wasn't a point gaining goal. We should have been out of sight today really, but I'm happy with the points Good to meet you today and let me know when you go next.
Have only just seen the highlights, my word our attacking play is amazing. I can't wait for a match where we put in all our chances because it will be an absolute hammering. Great time to be a saint.
Then there is Graziano Pelle - the player asked to replace Rickie Lambert in the Southampton fold. He arrived at the club with an impressive record in Dutch football with Feyenoord, scoring 55 goals in 66 games for the Rotterdam club. But many doubted his potential in English football, based on the inferior standard of the Eredivisie [?]. But he has netted 5 goals in 6 games and he believes he has done the job on the South Coast, whilst he also gushed about playing football in England whilst talking to Gazzetta dello Sport: "Football is paradise here. Full stadia, people who support you from the first minute until the last, matches in which you never give up and there is much honesty on the pitch. Some say that the goals I have scored in Holland haven't the same weight of those Italian, English, German or Spanish ones. But the net has always had the same dimensions, and should you fail to get the ball over the line, you don't score." Pelle certainly seems to be enjoying himself and the fans are enjoying him. If he continues performing on this level Southampton fans will soon forget all about Rickie Lambert. Personally, I think there is nothing like winning. It's a great disease..! And btw, Rickie who..?
Do you recall the interview Rickie gave where he criticised the owners of Saints and said that it could have been very different? Spot on Rickie and as a Saints fan himself. He must be delighted.
Having just seen the MOTD highlights and that muppet Phil n's comments...the reason we won't accept your apology is because you continue to talk anti Saints rubbish. Thought QPR deserved something from the game? Obviously didn't watch anything but the short highlights and didn't look at the stats. Tool!
